Trace and Me Only!

She clung to him in her sleep, burrying her head in his chest.

He rubbed her back soothingly, murmuring reassurances to her until she calmed down. Then he simply held her to hold her, falling asleep with her in his arms.

She woke a few hours later and nudged Kade awake, "Kade, wake up! I think I just saw something...." she whispered trying not to wake Chris up.

He sensed her fear again and opened his eyes. "Huh," he asked, half asleep, getting up and looking around, hovering over his mate protectively.

"In my dream..." she said, "The rogues, they took a shirt of mine or something, and...they tracked down where I worked and...they were gonna....Make it look like they were holding the building hostage while the drank for everyone and...trying to find me..." she said worriedly.

He frowned and nuzzled her. "You're safe. They won't find you. I won't let them touch you ever again," he swore in a menecing growl.

"But what about my co-workers?" she asked worriedly,

He frowned. "Beth," he looked a little pained. "I only care about keeping you and Chris safe. I can't keep everyone you love safe."

She just nodded quietly, not really knowing what to say.

"But the other warriors will take care of the Rogues," he told her softly. "I'll stay here and make you smile again," he whispered.

She nodded, understanding him a little better now.

He held her close. "I'll go let the others know what you saw," he kissed her softly. "I won't be long."

"I just...I just don't know when it's going to happen... I think I saw this Thursday's paper, but I'm not sure.", she said quietly.

He nodded. "I'll let the others know. Try to relax, sweet. You're safe," he kissed her cheek and left to gather the others.

She nodded and laid her head back down on the pillow, making sure Chris was still asleep, and snuggled up to him closing her eyes again.

Kade had called the other warriors into the war room and told them what his mate had seen. Lucan was impressed with her talent and told them all they'd be fighting, besides Gideon and Kade. Gideon was the computer nerd, always tapping away at the keyboard to relay information to the others who would be 'out in the field'. Kade was to stay so he could finish recovering. Once the short meeting was done, Kade went back to their room. "They're going on a major hunting mission tonight," he told her softly, laying back down next to her and bringing her into his arms.

She nodded quietly half asleep again, snuggling into Chris' back a little.

He stroked her hair softly. "I love you, beth," he whispered, kissing her cheek before he laid back down to sleep.

An hour or so later Chris woke his Aunt up, "Aunty Bethy, I'm hungry! Can I get up now?"

Kade woke up at the sound of the boy's voice and yawned. "What do you want to eat, kiddo," he asked, snuggling closer to Beth.

Beth opened her eyes and sat up stretching a little, "Hungry already?"

"Can I have pancakes?" he asked excitedly.

"You want plain pancakes? Or fruity pancakes? Or ones with M&M's in them," he asked, kissing Beth's cheek before he sat up.

"You like chocolate chip ones, don't you Chris?" Beth asked him

He just nodded excitedly

"Chocolate chip pancakes it is," Kade chuckled and got up, stretching. "Why don't you come help me make them, so I don't mess up and not put enough chips in there," he grinned.

Chris nodded, "We should put in the whole bag!" he said excitedly getting out of bed.
