Trace and Me Only!

He smiled, gazing at her gently, his knuckles running over her cheek gingerly. "You're so soft," he murmured.

She blushed looking at him softly, "Thanks."

He smiled and brought her hand up so he could kiss it, holding it close to his mouth

Bethany just watched him curiously, her fingers running over a bruise that looked so much worse a minute before.

"You see me healing," he asked. "I'll be all healed up by tomorrow night. Broken bones and all."

She nodded, "Promise me you wont let yourself get beat up like this though, please."

"I can't promise that," he admitted. "But I can try."

"You better try." she said and kissed him gently.

"I will," he kissed her back, holding her close gently.

She smiled gently into the kiss before parting, "Kade, I have to go put Chris to bed, it's getting late..."

"He can sleep in my room. Our room, if you'd like," he smiled gently at her. "I can sleep in my chair."

"No, you should stay here for the night." she said guietly, getting off the bed, "You need your rest and you still have a lot of healing to do."

"I'd rather be with you," he pouted.

She couldn't help but smile at that, "I know, but...sleeping in a chair probably won't be best for you right now."

"Nonsense, I'm fine," he said and, just to show her, he stood, though he favored one leg. "I'm fine," he repeated, bringing her into his arms and kissing her.

She looked at him with an arched eyebrow, "Okay, but I'm going to be sleeping in the chair, but...we should really find a place for him to stay tomorrow night. Come on." she said taking his hand and walking out looking for Chris.

Lilli had already put the boy down to sleep and was reading him a story when Kade and Beth walked in. Kade kissed Beth's cheek before he went to shower and change into clean clothes to sleep in.

Beth went to the chair and sat down in it, pushing the lever so it reclined., "Aunty Bethy, you should sleep over here."

"I'm not sure about that, Kade was hurt, and I think he might like the bed."

"But I want you!!!!" he whined.

"Okay, Okay, give give me a second." she said gently getting out of the chair and getting in next to him. "Now you go to sleep now."

Kade came out and shut the lights off, seeing Beth and Chris haven taken over his bed. He chuckled softly and kissed his mate's forehead. "Do I need to keep a night light on," he asked in a whisper, for Chris' sake. He could see perfectly well in the dark, but it might have been pitch black for their human senses.

Bethany nodded, "Just leave the bathroom light on and close it about half way. I hope thats alright."

"It's alright with me," he nodded, not that she could see him. He turned the bathroom light on and left it half-open like she said and went to kiss her softly again. He covered them both up, tucking them in gently. "Sweet dreams," he murmured to them and limped to his chair to get some more rest.

She smiled at him gently and closed her eyes falling asleep.

Just in case Chris had needed something, Kade didn't let himself fall asleep until he knew both of them were out like a light. He closed his eyes, dreaming of his mate's smile.

Bethany slept soundly for a little while, but then she started to have another one of those dreams with rogues in them. She started to toss and turn and whimper a little in her sleep.

Kade sensed his mate was afraid and woke up, growling a warning to whomever was scaring her. He saw no one and got up to go comfort her. He slid into bed behind her, laying on his side, and pulled her close. "Shhh, love. You're safe," he whispered, kissing her forehead and stroking her cheek.
