Trace and Me Only!

Breed (vampires) have been going Rogue, blinded by their Bloodlust. Bloodlust is basically rabies among vampires - they forget everything they ever knew, all of their knowledge being focused on their need for blood. (All vampires are male, though no one knows why.)

The Order (a group of Breed warriors) has been killing off these monstrosities for centuries. The group contains a handful of Gen Ones (sons of the Ancients, see below). Gen Ones are the most powerful of the Breed, covered in dermoglyphs [or just glyphs] (tattoo-like markings that change color depending on the vampire's mood). Though they are the strongest of the Breed, they also have the greatest weakness to UV rays. They would become completely blackened in less than one minute of exposure.

Ancients are the ones who fathered the Gen Ones. They are completely covered in the glyphs from head to toe, whereas the Gen Ones are mainly covered on their arms, torso, and legs. The otherworldly Ancients were long ago exterminated. Or believed to be so. One still remains, his grandson hiding him away, deep underground. Though the Ancient was way far beyond Bloodlust to know anything, his grandson had used modern technology to keep him alive and (whenever he found a new Breedmate [see below]) breeding more Gen Ones. Only these Gen Ones were completely under his command.

Breedmates are rare women indeed. Every one of them has the birthmark of a teardrop falling into a crescent moon somewhere on their body. Each has her own unique ability, as well. Some can read other's thoughts. Some can cripple another just by thinking it. Some can steal someone's life away or heal with her touch. But what makes them so important to the vampires is that they are the only women who can mother their sons, who take on their mother's mental ability as well as their father's. The Breed (mainly the Order) honor these women, treating them as royalty.

He grew up in Alaska, where he became one with the local wolf pack countless times, running and playing with them, though he refused to hunt with them. He didn't want to be a human-killer.

Appearance

Kaden patrolled the city, using his ability to use the eyes and ears of the stray dogs wandering around the city. He wore a long trench coat to cover the weapons on his belt and strapped to his sides. Finding no traces of the feral vampires, he decided to go hunt for a quick meal. He wouldn't kill his prey. He rarely did - only in extreme circumstances did he kill his prey, albeit reluctantly. He would drink what he needed, then swipe the memories of his bloodhost.

Bethany walked out of the Chronicle building, being the last one out and locked it. She tucked her camera in her bag and started to walk to her car. She didn't like working late, she never knew what was lurking in the shadows. She made the quick brisk walk to her car looking cautiously over her shoulder.

Kaden walked into a night club, keeping his mental ties to the strays in town, just in case. He found a single female human and invited her to dance. He went to the side of the club and kissed her neck and drank from her. This wasn't an uncommon sight in this particular place, so it wasn't all that outlandish. He finished feeding and sealed her small wounds, then walked out, wiping his mouth.

She heard a branch snap and looked around quickly before getting into her car and turning on the radio loudly to try and ease her paranoia. Bethany pulled out of the parking lot and started to head to the bar to meet her sister.

A dog nearby heard it, too, and barked, trying to attract the thing's attention. The Rogue hissed at the dog.

His mind in tune with the animal's, Kaden heard the hiss and ran as fast as he could, so fast that he was a light breeze on everyone's neck. He pulled his fingers through his knuckle bracers and punched the Rogue, crushing it's skull in. The small, sharp-as-hell blade on the outsides of the bracers cut the creature's skin and allowed the titanium to work it's magic. Titanium was a deadly poison to Rogues, but not to Breed.

Bethany had thought she heard something else, something, sickening to her stomach but she tried to ignore it and drove on her way to the bar.

Kaden put his knuckle bracers away and patted the dog's head, scratching behind his ears. "Good boy," he smiled. The dog wagged his tail happily in response.

Bethany walked into the bar looking around anxiously for her sister.

Kaden chuckled and walked away, looking for a place to relax. He went into a nearby bar, looking around casually.

She got a text from her sister after awhile saying she couldn't make it. The babysitter got sick and there was no one to watch her kid for her. Bethany just sighed and looked around absentmindedly. They were supposed to try and pick up some form of male specimen tonight. They knew the bar wasn't the best place to find someone but what else where they supposed to do on a Friday night?

Kaden noticed a girl looking around and walked up to her. "You alone, too," he asked with a kind smile.

"Yeah." she sighed smiling and welcomed him to sit down by her at the bar. She couldn't help but check him out, she hoped he didn't notice.

He smiled and sat down next to her.

"So are you waiting for anyone tonight?" she asked curiously taking a sip of her drink.

"No one in particular," he smiled.

"Guess I'm here for no one in particular as well." she smiled.

He grinned. "So, may I buy the young lady a drink," he asked, pulling out his wallet.

"Ummm..." she hesitated for a moment but decided to accept, "Sure, I'd love one."

He smiled and summoned the bartender. "Get her whatever she wants. Put it on my tab."

"Yes, sir," the bartender nodded and turned to the lady. "What would you like?"

"I'll have umm....how about you surprise me." she said smiling at the bartender, "Nothing too strong though."
