"Erase what happened from his memory. He shouldn't have seen any of those horrible things..."

"Bethany nodded, "I'll have to tell Kade to when he gets back." she said sniffing

Lilli hugged her sympathetically before she heard a big crash with glass breaking. She heard Dante yelling and something, or someone, being thrown all over.

Kade didn't fight back as Dante assaulted him. He deserved every bit of the furious vampire's rage, and then some, for the pain he'd unintentionally dealt Beth.

"Oh my god!" she ran out and saw the mess and gasped, "Stop it! What the hell do you think you're doing?" she ran over in between Dante and Kade.

Kade knew Beth wouldn't stop until she was in front of him. He was up in a flash, standing, though barely, to keep her from getting in the way of Dante's rage. "Lilli, take her back to my room, please. Now," Kade told her

"No! You guys have to stop! I'm sure whatever you're fighting about isn't even worth it!" she said wrapping her arms around his waist as if that's make Dante Stop.

'it's his fault they're dead," Dante spat. "He watched you every night, wasn't careful enough and the rogues noticed. That's why you were attacked. Some mate," he growled.

Kade didn't deny or accept it, just stood in silence, his guilt hanging on him like an anvil.

Bethany didn't really say anything, except burry her head in the back of his chest for a moment before letting go of him and turning to leave walking down the hall in a daze.

"You're a real asshole, Dante," Lilli snapped at him and walked away with Beth, trying to comfort her somewhat.

Dante cursed and threw Kade against the wall, letting him fly. "I'm not done with you," he growled and stalked back to his room.

Kade just laid there, where he'd landed. He was sure he had plenty of broken bones, but he didn't care.

Bethany leaned against the wall crying silently and slid down hugging her knees to her chest. She felt so horrible, almost as if she wished the past few weeks didn't happen. It was all just too much of a drastic change, yet she still felt connected to Kade...so even if she wanted to, she couldn't just hate him, she couldn't just leave.

Lilli sat next to her, just letting her know that she was there.

She leaned her head on Lili's shoulder as a few tears rolled down her cheek.

"Dante's just an asshole," she murmured to Beth. "Kade didn't mean to get you hurt. He was worried about you and missed you a lot."

She didn't say anything, all she did was listen quietly and nod.

"He loves you, you know," she whispered. "He wasn't fighting Dante back. He let Dante beat him."

"He shouldn't be beaten because of me...I chose to go back...if I never went back everyone would be okay..."

Dante is blaming Kade for Jess being so worn out in reviving your nephew," she said softly.

"That was my fault..." she said quietly, crying. "If I never left....."

"Beth, you can't blame yourself," Lilli told her. "It wasn't anyone's fault, it just happened."

"How can I believe that?" she asked quietly.

"Because everyone's taking the blame. It's not one's fault. The rogues just... found you. They just stumble upon their prey and attack without warning."

She just sighed and closed her eyes "I saw them comming for us, but I forgot that I had foresight because KAde erased my memory....I only thought it was a bad dream..."

"See? It's no one's fault," she said softly. "It just happened."

"But if I never left, that it wasn't just a dream." she cried softly.

"No, I'm sorry, sweetie. It wasn't," Lilli held her.
