It's a Love Story

Mike yawned, blinking his eyes open. "Mmm... morning," he said groggily.

She smiled. "Morning." she replied, kissing his neck again.

He blushed, biting his lip and staying still. Crap, that was embarrassing.

Lilli stopped and looked up at him. "want me to stop?"

He blushed and nodded slightly. "That'd probably be best... Uhm... I need to use the bathroom. 'Scuse me," he said and gently sat her on the couch beside him. He got up and hurried to the bathroom, closing the door and locking it behind him.

Lilli sat in his spot and wrapped the blanket around her shoulders. She giggled slightly to herself, knowing what was going on.

After a short while in the bathroom and a quick shower, he wrapped a towel around his waist and went to his bedroom down the hall to get dressed. He pulled a pair of jeans on and a flannel shirt. He walked out, buttoning up his shirt. "You can use the bathroom now. Sorry it took so long," he blushed, smiling sheepishly.

She smiled at him, running her fingers through her hair, fluffing it up slightly, making it look a little sexy. "It's okay. I probably made things worse kissing your next like I was, huh?"

He smiled sheepishly. "Kinda... But it's okay. How'd you sleep? How's your shoulder," he asked, almost forgetting about it.

She shrugged with her good shoulder. "It's a little tender... should be okay in a few days. And I slept great, amazingly... What about you?" she asked, scooting over slightly and holding the blanket open for him to sit with her.

He smiled and sat next to her, kissing her cheek softly. "If you need more pain pills just tell me."

Lilli smiled. "I would love some pain pills... But I think I should eat something before I do so that I don't get sick."

He nodded. "Yep. What do you want? Pancakes? Biscuits and gravy? Waffles? Muffins? Cinnamon rolls?"

"Biscuits and gravy sounds good." she smiled.

He smiled brightly. "My favorite. Pop makes the best gravy I've ever tasted. I'll make the biscuits while you take a shower," he offered.

she nodded. "Sounds good. Is my stuff in your room of still down here?" she asked, not knowing where her stuff or his room was.

"It was in there when I walked in. I guess Ma put it there while we were sleeping," he said and got up. "I'll show you," he smiled.

She smiled and nodded, getting up and draping the blanket over the arm of the couch. She saw Cassie laying with the blanket over her waist. Lilli bent down slightly and moved the blanket back over her shoulder and kissed her cheek. she'd always wanted a little sister, now, it seemed she got one.

He smiled lovingly at her. "She really likes you, ya know," he whispered.

She nodded, smiling. "And I like her."

"Obviously," he smiled happily and kissed her.

she smiled. "Don't mock me..." she teased, kissing him again.

"I'm not. I'm agreeing with you," he kissed her.

"Uh-huh, sure." she teased, kissing him again.

"I am," he chuckled, kissing her back.
