It's a Love Story

"That, I can do," he smiled and held her close, moving around in a slow circle.

She smiled, nuzzling into his neck.

He smiled and leaned his head on hers.

They danced for a while before she pulled away. "You hang out with your family." she said softly. "I'm going to go draw. It's happy moments like this where I feel most inspired."

He chuckled softly and kissed her. "Okay. I'll find you when it's time to eat," he promised.

She nodded and kissed him. "I love you." she said then walked over to the table with her bag and pulled out her sketch book, looking at how one of her uncles held Cassie as they danced. She smiled and started to draw her face, smiling.

"I love you, too," he kissed her back softly and went to go talk to his grandparents.

Lilli spent a while on the picture of Cassie's smiling face, it filled up the whole paper and she knew that she'd love it, or maybe Michelle. she did other sketches of other people, of skirts swaying as women dancing, of Mikes smiling face and a picture of Grandma Rose.

[Oh, cool! ]

Once dinner was beginning to be served, Mike went to go find Lilli. He found her and smiled. "Hey, dinner's ready."

She looked up from her drawings and smiled, closing her sketch book. "alright." she said, standing. She frowned slightly, seeing her fingers were black from smudging her pencil. "I guess I got a little carried away..."

He chuckled and kissed her. "We can wash your hands - there's soap in the kitchen."

"Yeah, that's probably a good idea before I get it on my dress." She smiled, grabbing her sketch book. "Lead the way."

He smiled and lead her to the kitchen, turning on the water, lukewarm, for her, and squirting some soap on her hands.

She laughed slightly and she washed her hands under the water then drying them off. "You know, Cassie has a wonderful face." she said.

He chuckled. "She's cute," he agreed.

"Look." she smiled, turning her sketch book to the page with Cassie's face smiling.

"That's very good," he smiled approvingly. "It looks like it could be a photograph."

she smiled at the picture then closed it, taking his hand. "I'm starving, let's go eat."

He smiled and nodded, walking with her to the huge table that everyone was sitting at to eat.

Lilli went to sit down next to Cassie where there were two empty seats and smiled at her. She opened her book to her picture and showed it to her. "what do you think of that?" she asked the little girl, smiling.

Cassie looked at it and lit up like a Christmas tree. "It looks like a picture! Mikey, look how good it is," she smiled.

"I know, I saw," he smiled. "She's very good."

Lilli smiled. "I was thinking of letting you pick out a frame for it and then you could put it in your room."

"Ohh, can I, Momma," she asked, smiling.

"Of course, honey," Michelle smiled

Lilli smiled and looked at Mike then nuzzled his neck. "Would you be able to get your mom to give me some Tylenol? My shoulder hurts and I don't want to make a scene. If I ask for some, everyone would be all over me, asking what's wrong." she whispered.

He chuckled. "Yeah. You don't have to seduce me to get me to do what you want, you know," he whispered, chuckling. He kissed her softly and turned to his mom. She nodded and got out the perscription strength of tylenol and handed it to him under the table, which he handed off to Lilli.
