It's a Love Story

"Okay... Where's your room? I need my stuff." she said softly.

He smiled and took her hand, leading her down the hallway to his bedroom.

She smiled, following him. Her back hurt still but not at much for his shoulder.

He opened the door to his room. Her stuff was on his bed. "Here we are."

She smiled. "Nice room." she said softly, going to the bed.

He smiled. "Thank you. I'll leave you be and go start on the biscuits," he kissed her softly and lovingly before he went to the kitchen.

She smiled and got some clothes and her bag of bathroom stuff and went to the bathroom, taking a long, hot shower. She got dressed, did a bit of make up then went to the kitchen after putting her stuff away.

Mike had biscuits in the oven still when she walked in. He smiled and kisses her softly. "Enjoy your shower?"

she nodded, smiling. "It was great." she said, her hand on her shoulder. "But I could use a pain pill about now... Breakfast almost done?"

He nodded. "Yep. I've already got the meat cooked up for Pop. He's getting out of his shower now to finish up the gravy."

She smiled and nodded. "Smells good." she said softly then hugged him. "So, what do you have planned today?" she asked softly.

He smiled and hugged her back, being careful of her shoulder. "Well, we're gonna meet up with the family today. You can ride Cloud with me, if you want," he smiled at her, handing her a biscuit.

She nodded, taking the biscuit and biting into it. "Oh my god, this is amazing..." she smiled. "tomorrow's Christmas Eve, right?" she asked.

He smiled and nodded. "I'm glad you like 'em. And yes it is," he said.

"I hope your sister likes what I got her." she said softly, looking up at him. "Is your sister a girly girl or more of a tom boy?"

He smiled. "She appreciates and uses everything she's given," he assured her. "She'll love whatever you got her."

She nodded. "Do you want to know what I got her?" she asked.

He smiled. "Sure. But whisper it, just in case she's pretending to be asleep," he chuckled softly.

She smiled and moved onto his toes, wrapping her arm around his neck. "Makeup, and jewelry. I was thinking after Christmas to take her on a shopping spree." she whispered.

He smiled. "She'll love that," he whispered back and kissed her, wrapping his arms around her waist.

"I got your mom a nce, diamond necklace... Would she like that?" She asked softly so only him could hear her.

"Oh, she'll love it," he smiled, nodding enthusiastically.

"I had no idea what to get your dad, so, I got him a $100 Cabella's gift card." she said, smiling slightly.

He blinked, trying to remember what Cabella's was. "Is that the store that's like Bass Pro Shop," he asked.

She nodded. "I think so." she shrugged. "One of my guy friends back home said it was a good thing to get him, so that's what I got."
