It's a Love Story

"It is when I only have a week with you. And, when I hug you, I feel like I belong here." she mumbled, closing her eyes to take in the moment.

He smiled softly and held her close. "We won't be separated forever. I'll be back when I can. And you can come to my place whenever you want. I promise."

she shook her head. "There's months of waiting time between those visits."

"We've still got phones and Internet. It's gonna be alright, Lilli, trust me," he murmured softly.

She sighed and nodded, reluctantly pulling away. "I guess you're right..."

He kissed her cheek. "I'll ride up here on horseback if I have to. We will see each other again," he promised.

She nodded and picked up her bag again. "We should get going..."

He nodded and took her hand. "Alright," he said softly.

"I think I'll take you to see Chicago later this week." she said, trying to get back into the happy mood.

He smiled. "Should I arrive on horseback," he asked, trying to get her to smile more.

She smiled slightly. "You don't have a horse with you."

"I have my ways," he grinned innocently.

She smiled more this time. "you're silly."

"But I do have my ways. I have family all over," he smiled. "All of them own at least one horse."

"Well, a horse isn't necessary. Just you." she said, blushing slightly.

He smiled and kissed her softly. "If you're sure."

She kissed him again and nodded. "Oh yeah. I'm sure."

He smiled at her, just looking at her and looking into her eyes.

Lilli blushed a little. "why are you looking at me like that?"

He smiled and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "You're just so beautiful. I can't believe I'm this lucky," he murmured softly.

She smiled and blushed even more. Even on the internet, she couldn't bring herself to say that she loved him. Slowly wrapping her arms around his waist, she leaned up to kiss his lips softly. "I... I love you..." she whispered like it was a top secret, secret.

He kissed her back softly. "I've never felt this way about anyone," he whispered, wanting to hold her closer and kiss her longer. "I don't want to let you go."

"then don't." she whispered. "don't ever let go."

He kissed her, holding her close. "I won't," he whispered against her lips.

She brought their body's close together and kissed him again, closing her eyes and taking in the moment.
