"We've been in bed all day." Jacey explained. "I don't need you to tempt me anymore than you do with all of your clothes on." Sighing softly, she ran a hand through her hair and then took his hand and walked to the kitchen with him. The food, as she had feared, was no longer warm and she reluctantly brought the plates to the microwave to heat them up.

Marcus didn't care for warmed up eggs but he wouldn't complain. he was starving.

She was heating it up mostly for the sausage and hasbrowns- they tasted the best when they were nice and warm. Taking the plates out of the microwave, she then allowed herself to enjoy the quiet and humble Christmas with Marcus. The next day she would take him out clothes shopping and enjoy the small part of of vacation from work.

"Bon Appetite." she said softly, placing the plate of food infront of him. Sitting down, she said a soft prayer before picking up her eating utensils and starting to eat their dinner. "I'm sorry that this isn't something as nice as a ham or goose.." she said softly, "But I didn't exactly have enough time to make one." It was getting to be very late in the evening.

She smiled softly at him and pressed a kiss to his cheek before going back to eating. Despite the quaintess of it all, it was a very nice Christmas. They ended up having ice cream and wine afterwards, and even despite everything made love for a fourth time. When she laid beside him in bed that night, she felt happy and at peace with herself.

Marcus was fast asleep beside her. Little did he know the goings on in her body that would change thier future.

A soft yawn passed her lips and when she finally awoke the next day she felt relaxed. Looking down at Marcus, she pressed a soft kiss to his lips and then got up to go shower. Once she had finished showering and dressing she headed down to the kitchen to start the coffee and to check her mailbox for the newspaper.

A few weeks passed Jacey started to notice a signifiant difference within her. Sighing gently and brushing some hair out of her eyes, she sat up in bed and glanced at the clock. For the thrid time that week she felt sick to her stomach. Soon enough she was up and out of bed, her belly aching. When she left the bathroom ten minutes later, she sighed to herself. How had she gotten so sick?

Marcus had new clothes and was sleeping comfortably in her bed in his new pjs. Marcus hadn't notice the changes in her though he noticed she stayed away smells and he noticed she gotten sick a few times. He thought it was just a bug.

Jacey sighed softly to herself and as usual went off to the kitchen to start the coffee pot. Once she had her cup of coffee and a shower she would start to feel better. There was nothing to achieve by dwelling on any pain or discomfort. if she tried to go about her daily scheduele, she would probably forget all about it anyway. Once the coffee was finished, she poured two mugs and went to wake up Marcus.

Marcus yawned nuzzling his pillow. He was going to meet lizzy in the park so he could see emmett and melody.

Between Jacey and Lizzy, the two girls were able to talk Marcus into accepting his daughter and getting to know her. As Jacey walked into the room, she paused and yawned gently. As she walked over to the bed, she took a seat next to Marcus and placed down one mug to gently shake him on his shoulder. "Wake up, sleepyhead." she cooed, kissing his cheek.

"Hey, baby." she said happily, helping him sit up."I made you some coffee." Marcus had adapted to sleeping in a bed again quite easily, and a lot of times he was happy to sleep in. Once she had given him his cup of coffee, she picked up her own mug and took a sip. When she was with him, she felt better. She was sure that whatever was going on with her was going to pass.

"Eh... all right, I suppose." she said thoughtfully, deciding not to dwell on her mysterious morning sickness. "Did you sleep well?" she chuckled, "You seem to enjoy staying in bed until I pretty much have to pry you out each morning." Jacey prefered to keep things on the light side, especially after all of the drama that had went down a few weeks before.

Jacey chuckled. "I can be nice and warm." she teased, winking and then pressing a kiss to his cheek. Setting down her cup of coffee on her knee, she rested her head on his shoulder. "I love you." she said softly, looking up to press a kiss to his jawbone. It was a miracle that they could be together and also be incredibly happy. Nuzzeling him, she sighed and closed her eyes.

Marcus put his arm around her gently and held her close. For some odd reason he could sense something just wasn't right, that she was hiding something that even her concience didn't know but her subconcience did.

"You know," she said softly, looking over at him. "You look really cute in your pajamas." Jacey finally said after a silence. While she wanted to talk to him about her sickness and some concerns that she was holding back, she was not exactly sure what it was that she could say. Sighing softly and brushing her hair from her eyes, she tried to think logically what was wrong with her.
