A Werewolf's Heart Part 1.3

Raini kissed Olivia's cheek and picked Al up, wrapping up his hurt paw. "That better," she asked him softly.

Brados nodded. "Yes, sweetheart. But we have to give Mommy her space. We don't want to make her upset."

Al licked her face, nuzzling her gently before pulling back. Kendal looked softly at Olivia, kissing her cheek.


Kale looked at her mom again and a tear ran down her cheek. She nodded and hugged her dad. "Are you okay Daddy?"

Raini hugged Al, stroking his fur.

Brados nodded. "Just a few scratches, sweetheart."

"It hurts..." Olivia mumbled, clinging to this new man holding her.

"It's alright, we'll make it go away." Kendal said softly, sitting down gently holding her.


Kale looked around, seeing her cousin clinging to her father. "What about everyone else?"

"Olivia lost her memories," Raini told Kale gently, trying not to scare her as she rubbed some no-pain medicine on Olivia's wounds.

"Like mommy?" she asked.

Kendal didn't know that Sam had gotten hurt this badly and looked at Brados with a sympathetic look.

Raini looked at Brados with the same look, though with a touch of understanding.

Brados gave them a helpless look. He really didn't know what to do to help her.

Kale went to her dad, hugging him around the waist tightly. She was small and he was big, so her head was burried in his stomach more than anything else.

Kendal sighed, kissing Olivia's cheek again before just holding her, letting the herbs they gave her kick in to stop the pain.

Brados picked Kale up, putting her on his shoulders, and scooped up Sam in his arms, taking them both a safe distance from the rubble. "Don't go near the rocks," he told them gently. "I'm gonna undig our dens so we can have a warm place to sleep tonight. Your brother will meet you here soon," he promised Kale and kissed her forehead, then Sam's softly. "Please try to remember," he asked her in a whisper, begging her.

Sam looked into his eyes, feeling an odd type of love and nodded. "I will try." she said.

"Whether you remember me or not, I love you," he kissed her softly, then stood and left.

Conall ran up to his dad. "I told everybody, Daddy." "Good job, buddy," Brados ruffled his hair and kissed his forehead. "Kale and your mom are over there. Stay with your sister. If your mom asks to be alone, do as she asks, but stay within eyesight of her, okay?" Conall nodded and, still carrying little Izzy, ran off to his mom and other sister.

Brados shifted into his wolf form and began moving the rocks carefully, starting at the top. He had the idea to make temporary igloo-type homes out of the rocks, just until they finished.

Kale watched his brother come up to them and held her arms out to Izzy. she wanted to be alone right now. But, she'd take her little sister to relieve Conall. "I'll take her. We'll stay within eyesight so you wont have to worry." she said when he got there.

Sam watched her kids, fasinated how they loved each other. Conall seemed to want to be like his dad while Kale was still trying to find out who she was. Izzy was just a baby still, but loved her family. This was Sam's family, at least, she hoped it was. "Are you my children?' she asked.

"Don't go by the rocks," he said and hugged her. He was upset, too, but he didn't want to make Izzy cry, so he acted calm. He looked at their mom and nodded. "I'm the oldest. Kale is the second, and baby Izzy is about half a year old."

Sam nodded, looking aw Kale walked away, setting Izzy in her lap. They both were beautiful. "What is your name?" she asked, feeling really awkward asking.

"Conall," he told her, trying to keep calm so he didn't cry.

"I'm sorry I can't remember you." she said softly.

He sat down and sighed, hugging his knees with his chin resting on his arms.

Sam sighed, looking off into space, trying really hard to remember, but couldn't.

Conall burried his face in his arms, tears leaking out of his eyes against his will.

Dane went up to him, sitting next to him. She laid her head on his knee, next to his. "Are you going to be okay?" she asked softly. She didn't know anyone else so she chose him to comfort.

"I want my mom back," he mumbled, shaking from his tears, though his voice sounded level enough.

"She'll come back." she said softly.

He wiped his face on his sleeve and looked up at her. "I hope it's soon," he mumbled.

"If not, then you'll just have to help her a little bit more. Help her remember." she said softly.

"How do you help someone remember," he asked.
