Finally a home~ Private

"Morning, again." Joshua grinned, yawning and going over her to grab his toothbrush and toothpaste. "Sleep good with Jonathan clinging to you?" he snickered as he started to brush his teeth.

She nodded, going behind him and kissing his shoulder. "We have to tell them today..." she said, about his mom dieing.

Joshua sighed, losing his bright attitude. He knew what they had to do today. They had to tell their kids about Elizabeth dying. Great. "Should we wait til they wake up?" he asked softly.

She nodded and hugged him tight from behind. "Yeah, I think so."

Joshua closed his eyes tightly, to get strength at least to not break out into tears. "Right.." he said, shuddering and turning around, hugging her tightly.

"They're going to have lots of questions..." she whispered, tears coming into her eyes.

Joshua nodded, kissing her head and sighing. "I know..but they'll understand...We'll find a way." he said, rubbing her back.

She sighed, kissing his lips. "I love you."

"I love you too...So, you want to eat something before they wake up?" Joshua asked, caressing her cheek tenderly. He knew how much this would hurt her, especially with how the kids might react.

"I don't know if I can eat right now..." she said softly.

"Then would you just like to be held?" Joshua asked softly, kissing her forehead and hugging her tightly. He knew this wouldn't be easy, the kids wouldn't understand completely.

"I always want to be held." she said softly, her English accent showing through.

Joshua did love her accent, always wanting her to speak it. Hell, it was her natural tone of voice. "And I'll always hold you. But, don't worry. Ok?"

She nodded, looking up at him. "Okay." She sighed

"What's really bothering you? You know the kids will understand..." Joshua cooed, holding her face in his hands.

She nodded. "Yes, I know they will. I just can't believe she's gone."

"I know. She did a lot for you, especially for you. I can't imagine what my dad's going through.." Joshua said, biting his lip. He knew his dad must've been going through hell right about now still.

"What if he moved in with us? He's all alone now, and the kid's'll love it!" she said, trying to make the situation a little better for everyone.

"...Well, I don't know. Are you sure?" Joshua asked, raising a brow. He didn't feel comfortable having his own father stay with them, but, it would be nice. He wouldn't be alone in the mourning. Plus the funeral, too. "I'll ask him later today, ok? But for now, we gotta deal with the little ones first."

She nodded and sighed. "They should be getting up now. And poor Laney's arm. I remember when my brother broke his arm. He was in pain all the time..."

"Yeah, but she's a fighter. Just like you. She'll be ok. Well..let's go and tell em." Joshua said, kissing her softly and leaving the bathroom while holding her hand. He then saw Jonathan, sitting up and watching his sister sleep still. "Hey son..."

Hearing voices, Ilane slowly woke up and sat up next to her brother. She smiled and rubbed her eyes then held her arms open for her dad to pick her up.

"We've got something to tell you guys..." Marley said, sitting down on the bed, her face sad.

Joshua sighed, sitting down beside Ilane and picking her up, holding her in his lap. Jonathan blinked, wondering why his mom looked sad. "What?"

Marley sighed as a tear ran down her face. "Uhm... your grandma died yesterday morning."

Ilane looked at her mom then at her dad. "Daddy? Really?"

Joshua felt Jonathan suck in his breath. Jonathan felt a tear fall as his mouth fell open in a silent sob, his lips trembling. "Really?" he asked, squeaking a bit and trying not to cry. Joshua bit his lip hard as he held the two in his arms. "Yeah...she passed away at the hospital.."
