Finally a home~ Private

Joshua put Jon down and took out the medicine he had to buy for Ilane. He had to study the instructions of course and make sure they were right. He didn't want to poison his own kid. The doses were right though, the hours per each, not so much. "Ok, off to bed for you both. It's late." he said, going to the kitchen to get a spoon for measuring the liquid for Ilane to take for pain.

"But we haven't eaten... Daddy, I'm hungry..." Ilane said, going to Jon and hugging him.

"Ah, right...eh..sorry." Joshua sighing and rubbing his face. He looked pale, much more worried than usual now. He looked to Marley, his eyes saying that he had to talk to her pretty much. He walked to the kitchen, seeing food ready and ontop of the stove. Jon hugged Ilane gently, sighing. "I'm sorry, again." he said softly to his twin.

Ilane smiled. "It's okay. You didn't do anything wrong."


Marley left her kids there and went to Joshua, going up behind him and wrapping her arms around his waist from behind. "Hey, are you okay?"

"Wanna watch TV while mommy and daddy get the food ready?" Jon asked, smiling.

Joshua sighed, closing his eyes. "Ilane noticed something was wrong earlier. I almost wanted to tell her about their grandmother dying..." he mumbled, turning around and leaning against the counter. "We should just tell them..."

Ilane nodded. "You're a good drawer. If I get some sharpies, will you draw on my cast?" she asked as they went to sit on the couch.

Marley sighed and hugged Joshua close. "If that's what you want to do." She said softly, nuzzling his neck.

Jon giggled and nodded. "Sure." he said, glad they were still close.

Joshua kissed Marley's head and sighed. "Do you think we should?" he asked softly.

she smiled and went upstairs to get her markers. She came down and sat by her brother and put the markers on his lap. "Thank you."

"She was their grandma." Marley said softly. "If you don't want to, I'll tell them tomorrow."

"I think with all that's happened, we should just wait til tomorrow. That'd make more sense." Joshua said, rubbing his eyes and yawning. "Let's get them fed and off to bed. I'm wiped out." he said as he kissed her softly.

Jon grinned, grabbing some markers and drawing flowers and other things that she liked.

Despite being tired, Ilane moved close to her brother and fell asleep, her head on his shoulder.

"If you want, you can go to bed. I can handle feeding tonight." Marley said, looking up at him.

Joshua sighed, nodding. He just felt sick inside, even after having to deal with his mom's death..now his own daughter's injured arm, it was all too much. "Thanks babe.." he said, kissing her head and leaving to their room.

Jon also fell asleep, holding onto her.

Marley went into the living room and smiled, seeing the two of sleeping together. She walked over to them, gently shaking Jon awake. "Jonathon... you fell asleep, we've got to get you two to bed."

Jonathan groaned, opening his eyes and rubbing them. "Hm?..Ok mommy.." he mumbled as he shook Ilane softly.

Marley picked up Ilane, holding her close as she held a hand out to Jon. "I'll tuck her in then come in to tuck you in, okay?"

Jon nodded, getting up and following after Marley to Ilane's room. "Sweet dreams, Ilane." he whispered before Marley went in to tuck her in.

"I love you, twin," Ilane said softly as she was carried into her room. Marley tucked her in, kissing her cheek as she pulled the blanket over her. She kissed her forehead. "I love you, baby girl," she said softly then went to Jonathon. He was still awake and she sat the side of his bed. "Hey baby." She smiled at him. "You were strong today. I'm proud of you."

Jon nodded, sniffing a bit. He was still scared for Ilane, even though he knew she'd be ok. "So..her arm is gonna be ok? Really?" he asked, rubbing his eyes and pouting a bit.

Marley nodded and kissed his forehead. "Her arm's really going to be okay. You did a good job getting us right away."

"Ok...Night, I love you.." Jon said, smiling and hugging her gently. He then got into his covers and closed his eyes.

"I love you, too," she said softly then kissed his cheek, leaving to go to her room.

Joshua had laid in bed, but was unable to rest. He just stared at the ceiling and once Marley came in, he sat up and looked at her. "The kids are asleep?" he asked as he made room for her in bed, already in his boxers and a t-shirt.

She nodded as she got into the bed and moved to straddle his lap. Nothing sexual, just wanting to be close. She kissed his lips softly. "Yeah, they're fast asleep. They'll probably going to be hungry tomorrow, Ilane didn't eat. She fell asleep with her head on jon's shoulder as he drew on her cast.

Joshua sighed, leaning into Marley and resting his head against hers. "Everything's so crazy lately.." he muttered softly, scoffing and nuzzling her neck. "How are you?" he asked, wondering how she was feeling about all this, including his mother's death.

"Well, Lilli's going to be fine... But.. Your mom took me in when nobody else would, she protected me... I can't believe she's really gone." she whispered, tears coming into her eyes.

"Yeah, I know Ilane's gonna be fine..." Joshua said, but he knew the tears were coming. He sighed, kissing her cheeks and biting his lip. "I know....She was there for us through a lot, and now my dad's left alone. It's killing me.." he said, a tear falling as he hugged her tightly.
