Me and Steph only!!!

She bit her lip. She wasn't sure if she felt safe enough to go home quite yet. "It does wear me out, though," she added quietly. "If I use it too much, I'll get stuck in the hospital again."

Matthew nodded, looking up at her. "So, it's not problem for you to stay here then. I'll make sure you can go to work, I'll pick you up at the exact time your shift is up. Is that ok?" he asked as he handed her the remote. "Do as you wish.." he said as he left the living room and went to his room to call some of the others.

She nodded. "Thank you," she murmured. She took the remote and watched him leave. He wasn't very social, that was for sure. She wondered if it was really alright with him if she stayed in his home.

Matthew truly wasn't very social at all. He saw way too many of his own kind turn rogue because of a loss of a loved one. Breed mate or not, he couldn't bring himself to get close. He sat on the bed, looking at the wall and hearing the noises from the TV.

Getting her mind off of the present, she found one of her favorite stations, ABC Family, and watched a christmas movie that came on.

After an hour, Matthew came back out, peering into the living room. He could see she was watching a christmas movie. He wondered if she had family. "Do you have..family to visit at christmas?"

She looked up at him. "My aunt, but that's it. And we're both busy, so we can really only see each other one day, with is mainly Christmas Eve, and then we go home Christmas night.

"So, would you miss her if you didn't see her that night?" Matthew asked, wanting to make sure. Why make another suffer for something she didn't ask for. She didn't ask to be a vampire's birth mother.

"She'll understand if I tell her I'm busy," she said. "But I would still like to call her."

Matthew nodded, sighing. It wasn't safe for either of them, but, it was more dangerous for Jasmine. He sat beside her, clearing his throat. It was awkward, but he wanted to try. "So, all along, you've known of this power of yours?"

She bit her lip, looking down at her hands in her lap. "I've known since I can remember... I used to heal animals that came by my house when I was little, but I had to hide it from my parents. My dad was a bad drunk... One night, he got really mad at me and scared me so much that I felt like I had to use my power for something other than healing. The next thing I knew, he was dead in front of me," she murmured.

Matthew sighed, nodding. She killed her father, how odd....Still, she was young. He understood. "It wasn't your fault really, you were defending yourself....What happened afterwards?" he asked Jasmine, seeing that old memories brought back scars. She didn't like it, it seemed.

"My mom called me a monster and didn't have anything to do with me. So my aunt took me in and raised me. She's all I have," she murmured.

Matthew hesitantly wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her close. "I'm sorry you were burdened with this power...really." he mumbled, resting his head on Jasmine's.

She looked up at him, then back down at her hands, leaning against him and smiling a little bit. "There's nothing for you to be sorry about. You're no the one who gave them to me," she pointed out. "Besides, I've learned to control it and I only use it when I need to."

Matthew scoffed, though it wasn't out of spite or anything in malice. "What I mean is, if us vampires weren't around, perhaps the women would've been spared of having to deal with their powers, and especially giving birth to babies that aren't normal.." he replied, rubbing the back of his neck with his other hand.

"Maybe we'd have these powers even if you weren't here," she murmured. "I don't think anyone blames you for us having these abilities. If they do, then it's absurd. You have every right to be here as any of us. Especially when you're taking down those awful rogues," she gave him a small smile.

Matthew couldn't help but let a smile slip out. She had a point. But, there was no way to prove that, absolutely not. "Oh well, as far as I know, those rogues now want our race to perish, or at least those that are of The Order..." he muttered, sighing. His head already ached just thinking about it. "Anyway, don't you have work today or were you excused because of being at the hospital?" he asked, trying to change the subject.

"They told me to take a couple days off to rest up. I'm usually one of the first ones in and the last to leave," she shrugged.

Matthew grunted. Oh great. Now what, he had to entertain her? Or just leave her in his apartment while he went on patrol and also argue with his other fellow bretheren about her just being there in the first place plus the rogues. Yay. "That's fine, but if you ever need to go out and want to, then just make sure to take down my cell phone number first, alright? I can't guarantee I'll be here tomorrow night, much." he said, getting up and going to the fridge, bending down a bit as he looked in the bottom bin of the fridge where there were a few bags of blood. He couldn't feed from her, at least not without her consent. His hand shook as he bit off some of the plastic and began sipping it carefully so not to spill. He hated drinking cold blood like this, he desire the warm and practically living blood from a neck, a woman's neck...He shuddered just thinking about it and drank faster.

"If I'm disturbing you, I can go home," she told him, having a feeling that she was invading his space. "I'm nearly fully recovered now, I'll be fine."

Matthew sighed, nodding. "Maybe that would be best...It's troublesome to have you here. You're more prone to be attacked now than at your own home." he muttered, getting up and grabbing the keys to his own car. "Get your things.."

She raised her eyebrow at his second sentence, but made no comment. She got up to get her body-bag of clothes and heave it over her shoulder before she walked to meet him.

Matthew sighed, looking up at her with a dazed look in his eyes. He gulped, looking away. "I'm sorry for the sudden..decision to get you out of my apartment but, just being right beside you makes me want to feed....For one thing, you've had enough injuries to last a week, literally, I doubt you'd appreciate to be bitten and then drained of your blood which would then make you dizzy and irritated. Unless..that's no problem." he said, staring up at her with desire in his eyes, a blood lust.

She blushed, seeing his expression, though she didn't know why. She thought for a long moment. "You saved me once, took me to the hospital, then offered me your home after you got my clothes. I think.. that it would be fair to give you my blood," she murmured, though she was a little scared. After all, the only encounter with a blood-sucking being that she remembered was the Rogue attacking her.
