Me and Steph only!!!

The rogue choked on his own blood and the immense pain coming from the power. It was very painful. Matthew came in within three minutes, closing the door and hissing. "Idiot! Don't ever shriek like that." he warned, shaking his head and stepping on the rogue's as it made a disgusting crack.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't expecting anyone else," she frowned at him and grimaced as she heard him step on the Rogue's skull. She sighed, feeling a little drained from using her ability. Especially as the adrenaline started leaving her system.

Matthew sighed, shaking his head. "Well, then I'm glad you at least knew when to act and weren't too afraid." he said, putting the bag of clothes down. Some may swear there was a body in there, but he stuffed it to the brim with clothes, everything. "Well, I got your things. Now we just wait til they release you..." he said, rubbing his face. He hated the stench after killing a vampire.

"Thank you," she said, and blinked at how many clothes there were after she opened the bag. "Dear God. How long am I gonna be gone?"

"It's just extra...These rogues, they don't give up easily on their prey, or rather, now a target since you're with me." Matthew said, sitting back down and watching as the body slowly started to disintegrate. They were at least 600 years old. At least.

She sighed, falling back into the pillows and looked down at the body. "What do we do about the smell," she asked, wrinkling her nose.

"Febreeze?" Matthew snickered. He had an odd sense of humor, but hey, it works. "I'll open the window a bit.." he said, opening the window and sighing as the smell started to air out of the room. "Better?" he asked, glancing back at her.

She turned her head towards the window and breathed in the fresh air. "Yes, thank you."

"I should leave now though, it's damn close to midnight already.." Matthew said as he headed for the door. He sighed, closing his eyes. "I live in an apartment complex not far from the hospital, so hurry to 218 at The Cottages, remember that." he added, leaving the room.

"218 at The Cottages," she repeated, nodding. As he left, she closed her eyes and drifted off to a restful sleep. In the early morning, she was released when she had enough energy to walk around. She took her bag to the apartment complex he'd said and knocked on the door. She cursed herself for not getting his name and felt horrible for knocking on the door so early in the morning.

Matthew groaned loudly, hating that he would have to awaken. He reminded himself countless times before he slept to wake up as soon as she arrived. He opened the door, letting her in but looking as if he really did just die a few minutes ago. He was much more pale and his eyes didn't have a glow to them. Closing the door, he stretched. "I have a spare room across from mine, you can stay there. Feel free to the food." he said, moving fast for his bedroom and closing the door. The inside was completely black, dark.

"Thank you," she murmured and felt more guilty as she watched him dash for his bedroom. She sighed softly to herself and went to put the heavy bag of clothes in the spare room across from his, then went to get something to eat.

Matthew almost immediately went back to sleep. He needed it since last night. Still, the fridge was freshly packed. It had fruits, vegetables, the most common he saw people eat. He left the door open just a bit.

She made herself a turkey sandwich, careful not to make too much noise, and got herself a cup of water before going back to the spare bedroom. She put the bag on the ground, slipped off her shoes, and crawled into the bed. She wasn't a morning person and she was still tired.

By the time it was night, Matthew awoke and was watching the news. More murders. More blood being spilt. He couldn't believe it. He hissed quietly, throwing the remote on the floor and shaking his head. "Where are the others? Damnit.." he muttered, staring at the floor. Why concentrate so much on breedmates? Damn it!

Jasmine peeked her head out of her room and blinked, hearing something thud on the floor. "Are you alright," she asked.

Matthew jumped a bit, looking up. "You're awake already?" he asked, coughing. Picking up the remote, he changed the channel to a movie which he didn't bother seeing the title for and sighed. "Come out."

"My sleep schedule's been a little thrown off. I've been up for a couple hours now," she told him, walking to him. She was feeling almost 100% now.

Matthew chuckled, nodding. "Of course. Well, it should be back to normal soon enough. At least until those rogues are off your scent..." he mumbled, sighing. "There's been more murders...and it's increasing. This worries me.." he added.

Jasmine frowned and sighed softly. "Are there more vampires like you," she asked quietly. "Or are you fighting the...rogues all alone?"

"No, there are others...why?" Matthew asked, stretching. "I'm from a coven, you can say, it's called The Order. We're like the law I guess..so far, they're busy just as I am." he said, getting up and looking at her. "Sore?"

"A little," she rubbed her fingers gingerly over the place the rogue had wounded her. "But my ability doesn't work on me. I never figured out why."

"Well, obviously you're immune. It's your own power, your body is used to it. Don't worry about that for now....Do you know how to kill a rogue, anyway?" he asked, though knowing the obvious answer. Matthew had to ask, it wasn't just a necessity.

"That makes sense," she said, feeling stupid now. She looked at him. "I just used my ability... By touch, I can either heal or kill a person. Apparently, it works on Rogues, too..."

"Then you're fine, you could go home right now if you so choose..." Matthew said, though he didn't seem to care if she did or not. He sort of liked that his apartment wasn't just an empty space for him. His stuff might come in use, such as the food and tv.
