"I'm going to take that as a compliment" she said with a smile, letting her fingertips rest lightly on his arm. He didn't smell bad himself, she thought to herself. In fact, she wouldn't mind kissing him right now, but she was hesitant. Nonetheless, she did lean in and kiss him, unable to help herself.

He kissed her back, his rough lips gentle on her soft ones. She tasted sweet, like nothing he'd ever tasted. His fangs elongated in response and he slowly pulled back before he sank the sharp teeth into her neck and claimed her as his own.

She gasped a little when his teeth sank in and she let her fingers run down through his hair. It almost felt good, in a way she wouldn't have expected.

He growled as her sweet blood poured into his mouth. He'd never tasted anything so good. He could only pull her closer, his glyphs changing from a shade darker than his skin to gold and deep wine colors.

After what seemed a nice twenty minutes on the dirt road and missing a few trees, they seemed to arrive. He grunted, seeing that the entrance wasn't open. "Goddammit." he complained, revving his engine in hopes of someone hearing. Drake hated waiting. "Hey, if you're getting lucky, then get unlucky and open the damn gates!" he yelled. "Sorry, sometimes the gate isn't open...ugh." he added, shaking his head and and looking around as they waited.

Hearing the engines rev snapped Vince out of his trance of drinking from her and he pulled back, licking her wounds shut to seal them. "I'm sorry...." he cursed himself for losing control. He'd claimed her as his Breedmate, and he couldn't take it back. He stepped away from her and went to open the gates for his brother-in-arms.

Drake sighed in relief as the gates opened. "Finally.." he mumbled to himself as he slowly drove inside and nodded towards Vince. "Hey, I brought Heather. Another one of our breedmates." he said as he got off the bike and took off his helmet. "Heather, this is Vince." he introduced, smiling.

Vince nodded politely to her, not looking happy. His fangs filled his mouth, and he still hungered for his Breedmate. He cursed himself again - now she probably hated him. Not that it mattered - he hated himself for acting so recklessly. He'd be sure to set up a ride for her to the nearest Darkhaven soon.

"Welcome," he told the new Breedmate. "I was about to go set up a guest room for another Breedmate. Shall I set another up for you," he asked, wondering if she'd be staying with Drake or not.

Heather blushed, nodding in return. "Thank you for the welcome..." The place was huge, and slightly horror-movie-cliche... Yet this Vince character was horribly intimidating. Now on the matter of accomidations, she didn't know where she would be sleeping. "I guess it depends on what Drake wants...."

Vince looked at Drake, then back to Heather. "He can come to me later. I'm afraid you've caught me at a bad time. Please excuse me," he nodded politely to them both and went to check on his Breedmate. He saw her and stopped down the hallway from her, not wanting to scare her if he approached. "Are you alright," he asked, fully aware of her blood coursing through his veins.

Drake stayed silent until Vince was out of hearing range, at least up close. He sighed, looking over at Heather. "Heather..it doesn't depend on me whether you should have a room or not. We...We're not exactly mates, we haven't made it official nor even recognized it as a possibility between us." he said, trying to tell her that he really didn't desire to order her around, mate or not, it just didn't feel right. Breedmates were to be respected. "Anyway..would you like a room of your own?"

A little dizzy and trying to get back on track, she nodded. She hadn't been expecting that at all, not that it was that unpleasant really. Just unexpecting is all. "I'm fine I think" she said with a smile. She wouldn't hold it against him on account of the fact she was told by the other breedmates this would happen, and because she liked him, of course. She allowed herself to walk over to him on slightly unsteady feet. "Are you okay?" she questioned him. He seemed a bit distant now. Now she questioned herself as to if she had done something wrong.

He stayed still, letting her approach. He noticed she was unsteady, though, and reached to steady her gently. He nodded. "I'm fine," he murmured. "I lost control. I'm sorry. I know it won't change anything. It's up to you whether you stay or go to a Darkhaven," he told her.

"I don't mind" she said with a smile, though she had to think about what he said afterwards. "I'm not sure which I'd rather do. I'll go to whichever allows me to see you more often" she decided as she said it. She didn't have a problem with this whole arrangement and either way she had been waiting most of her life for something interesting to happen. That was happening now and she was pretty sure she didn't want it to end. People that hesitate may let opportinuties pass them by.

He blinked. "You aren't angry with me," he asked. "I took you as my mate against your will and you aren't angry?" Having her blood in his veins, he could feel that she'd meant what she said. She felt more... what was the word... Safe? Happy? Content? when she was closer to him.

"Well it wasn't quite against my will, just a little unexpected. I kissed you first" she reminded him. That and she was used to him more than anyone else int his new world. He was what started it for her and she felt better when having him around.

He stared at her for a moment, studying her. He sighed softly and picked her up gently. "I've weakened you. You should rest," he said, walking down a long corridor to his private quarters. He opened the door with a mental command and walked in, laying her down on his large bed. "I'll make up a guest room," he said gently.

"Thank you" she said, allowing herself to watch him as he talked. She was grateful, but didn't feel like resting for the most part and instead wondered where he was headed, and thought for a moment about how big and comfy the bed was. She knew she should rest, but the stubborn side of her didn't want to do resting of any kind. "Who's room is this?" she questioned, curious.

"This is my room. I won't do anything you don't want me to," he promised. "You are safe. Rest now. Your guest room will be finished when you wake up. It's almost morning, so we'll go get your things from your place tomorrow night."

"Okay" she said with a smile, laying her head back onto one of his pillows. "I'll see you when I wake up then?" she questioned. She didn't want to wake up and find out she had dreamed all this up.

He nodded, covering her so she was comfortable. "If you wish," he promised gently. "Rest now," he turned the lights off and closed the door gently behind him, going to the linen closet to get sheets and set up the guest room down the hall.

She watched him walk out of the room and smiled. She couldn't quite figure out why people were intimidated by him, because she wasn't. He seemed nicer and even more hesitant than people acted like he was. She thought about this but then fell asleep midthought, more tired than she thought she was.

Vince made the bed and dusted the room, cleaning the guest bathroom as well so it was ready for use. His thoughts were on her of course, the taste of her blood still on his tongue made him want more, though he knew he wouldn't. He went back into his room silently, closing the door deftly as he watched her sleep for a few minutes before he got some of his clothes and took them back to the guest room for her to use until they got her own clothes. Having all of this done, he went back to his room and sat in his chair, simply watching her sleep until he dozed off a few hours after the sun rose.

Heather sighed, smiling at him with a cute and coy look in her eye. "I'll have a room on my own I figure. But I do want to talk to you later Drake. I want to learn about you, before we make any choices about anything..." She did consider wanting to share a room with him, but she was not going to be the one to pose the idea. She figured he would let her know when he was ready.

Drake nodded, walking inside as his bike was beside him. "Come on, let me get you to a room. I'm sure there are some available." he said, going deeper inside the haven and then placing his motorcycle by the entrance just in case. "Since we're alone, again, what would you want to know about me? At least a few questions before sun rise.." he muttered, noting that the sun was to rise soon and he would have to rest once more.
