It's a Love Story

Jon smiled, moving the stool and taking it's place. "Alright, so be sure to hold on with your knees." he said, patting her knee. "Hold on to the reins. You pull them left and she'll go left. Pull the right and she'll go right. If you pull them toward your body then she'll stop." he smiled, getting onto his own horse without the stool. "She'll follow me so you don't have to worry to much about it."

She nodded. "Kay," she said, not used to the horse moving under her. She hung onto the reins and the saddle, using her knees like he'd told her to.

He smiled at her. "It'll be okay." he said. "Do you want a helmet or someting? You look like you're scared you'll fall off."

She shook her head. "I think I'm okay," she told him. "I'm just not used to it."

He nodded. "You will be." he said, urging his horse forward and Splatter started to follow.

Ren clung to the saddle and reins, slowly getting used to the horse moving under her. Once she was used to it, she started leaning forward to stroke Splatter's neck.

Splatter fell into step next to Jon's horse and he smiled over at her. "We'll go around the house a few times and maybe up the street so you can get used to it before we going into the woods."

"Okay," she smiled at him.

He nodded. And started up the street. "so, you had fun with my sister?"

She smiled and nodded. "I did. Your family is fun," she told him sincerely.

"Yeah. We get it from our mom. She's always ready to do something." he shrugged.

Ren smiled. "I'm glad I can be a part of it," she said softly.

"You're home is here now. I mean, It's welcome to be your home." he said.

She smiled warmly. "I'd love for it to be my home."

"Good. We've already got your welcomeing preasent on the way." he said, smiling brightly.

She blinked. "What? You guys didn't have to get me anything," she protested, shaking her head.

"Ren... Stop." Jon smiled. "We give presents. Don't worry about it."

"But your family's already given me so much... clothes, food, a bed, a home... i don't need anything else."

"It doesn't matter if you need it." he shrugged. "And no arguing. You're going to get this preasent and you're going to like it!"

Ren chuckled. "Alright," she gave up softly. "thank you, Jon."

He smiled at her. "We'll do anything for family."

She blushed and smiled, loving the idea of truly being a part of their family.

"Anyways. How are you doing on Splatter? She's a good horse and just loves people." he smiled.

She smiled. "I like her," she said, stroking the mare's neck. "She's very pretty, too. So soft."

"Yeah. We take good care of our horses. So, just out of curiosity, would you want a horse of your own?" he asked. He wanted to make sure before they surprised her with the gift.
