It's a Love Story

Rose smiled as they later arrived at the art show, about half an hour after Jon had gotten there and introduced himself to everyone. She and Rome had linked Ren between them, all linked together by their arms. Rose grinned and winked at Rome. "Come on, Rome. Let's go get something to drink," she said, taking her sister. "We'll be right back, Ren," she smiled at her, winking as she knew she'd left her in Jon's sight.

Jon had been talking to some art producers. As they walked away he looked around and saw Ren. He almost fell she was so beautiful. Slowly going to her he put his hand over his heart. "Wow..." he smiled.

Ren looked after Rose, confused as to why she had winked. As she heard Jon and turned to face him, she realized why. She'd set them up. She blushed, seeing the expression on his face. No one ever looked at her like that. "Your sisters gave me a makeover... Do you like it," she asked quietly.

He nodded. "I really do. Your hair looks nice like that." he said, just wanting to pull him into his arms and hold her. "I'm sorry for my attitude earlier. It was unfair for you to see me like that."

"If one of my favorite drawings was ruined, I'd be pissed, too," she shook her head, disregarding his apology. "You really are a great artist. I've only seen a little bit, and all of it is amazing," she smiled at him.

He smiled and took her hand. "I'd like to show you what Iwas working on today. It's probably one of my best." He said, taking her to a picture that was put up that day.

She smiled, nodding and following him, holding his hand. "Okay."

He stopped at a coal drawing of her, one he had finished that morning in his sketch book. "Do you like it?" He asked.

She blushed, looking at the drawing. She opened her mouth and closed it, close to tears. "It's beautiful," she said, trying not to cry and mess her makeup up.

He looked at her and then hugged her, not really caring if he got makeup on his suit coat. "why are you crying?"

"You and your sisters... Your whole family makes me so happy... I can't hold all the happy, so it spills out as tears..."

He smiled and held her for a moment before pulling back to look at her. "You're going to mess up your make up though." he said softly.

She sniffled, smiling sheepishly. "And Rome worked so hard on it..." She did her best to stop the tears.

He chuckled. "You don't have to cry. Nobody, especially my family, especiall my, wants to see you cry."

She nodded and stopped her tears. "Sorry... They were happy tears, I promise," she told him.

He nodded and gently kissed her cheek. "You look beautiful." he said softly.

She smiled warmly at him. "Thank you," she murmured softly.

He smiled back. "You're welcome." he nodded then took her hand. He had an obligation to attend to his guests, most of which were going to buy his and his mom's art so he needed to act nice towards them.

She smiled, happy to follow him in whatever he had to do.

Close to the end, Roman was sitting in one of the chairs under a peice Jon did of her, rubbing her feet. She wasn't used to walking around in the heals she had been walking in all night.

[Dude's name] had arrived late to the art show, having moved to the town not too long ago. He noticed a young girl sitting underneith a drawing of herself and went up to her. "Scusi," he said in an Italian accent. "You know this artist?" H elooked up at the sketch of her. "He is very good, no?"

Roman looked at the sketch she was sitting under, just then realizing it was her. She smiled at the guy and nodded. "I do know the artist. And he's amazing, so is his mother."

Pavo smiled. "Ah, family artists. Brava! They are rare this era, no? Well, in America. Italian families always say "My father's grandfather's grandfather was the great Picasso!'," he laughed. "I not believe any of them, no."

Roman laughed. "Well, I don't know about my grandparents, but my mother is amazing. So is my brother," she stood after putting her shoe back on and looked at the painting of herself behind her. "As you can tell."

He looked surprised. "Your mother and brother, ah? You must be wonderful with the paintbrush, too, no?" He smiled.
