Breed (vampires) have been going Rogue, blinded by their Bloodlust. Bloodlust is basically rabies among vampires - they forget everything they ever knew, all of their knowledge being focused on their need for blood. (All vampires are male, though no one knows why.)

The Order (a group of Breed warriors) has been killing off these monstrosities for centuries. The group contains a handful of Gen Ones (sons of the Ancients, see below). Gen Ones are the most powerful of the Breed, covered in dermoglyphs [or just glyphs] (tattoo-like markings that change color depending on the vampire's mood). Though they are the strongest of the Breed, they also have the greatest weakness to UV rays. They would become completely blackened in less than one minute of exposure.

Ancients are the ones who fathered the Gen Ones. They are completely covered in the glyphs from head to toe, whereas the Gen Ones are mainly covered on their arms, torso, and legs. The otherworldly Ancients were long ago exterminated. Or believed to be so. One still remains, his grandson hiding him away, deep underground. Though the Ancient was way far beyond Bloodlust to know anything, his grandson had used modern technology to keep him alive and (whenever he found a new Breedmate [see below]) breeding more Gen Ones. Only these Gen Ones were completely under his command.

Breedmates are rare women indeed. Every one of them has the birthmark of a teardrop falling into a crescent moon somewhere on their body. Each has her own unique ability, as well. Some can read other's thoughts. Some can cripple another just by thinking it. Some can steal someone's life away or heal with her touch. But what makes them so important to the vampires is that they are the only women who can mother their sons, who take on their mother's mental ability as well as their father's. The Breed (mainly the Order) honor these women, treating them as royalty.

This plot is complex and kind of confusing. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. :3

The only real rule I ask is to keep the genders even.
We'll probably end up playing two characters each, maybe. I dunno. I am.

He fought alongside [1st in command of Order (also gen one)] around a thousand years ago against the Ancients. During that war, he lost his Breedmate, Tehya. He's been a cold-blooded killer of his enemies since then, chillingly efficient in his missions, and loyal to his old friend.

As a young girl, Jaz grew up with an abusive father. She had no mother; she left when Jaz was three years old. Her father had eventually gotten to the point where he was choking her, and she subconsciously used her ability. The next thing she knew, he was dead on the ground in front of her. The autopsy pronounced he died of a simple heart attack, and she was sent away to her aunt's house, who raised her as her own daughter. Jaz promised herself she'd never use her ability again, unless someone truly needed her help.

Ability to make the mind of a being clouded, and input whatever thoughts he desires, such as suicide even.
Born and raised to be the elite of the gen ones, he was taught immensely. He had no choice but to try and keep up with the others, wanting to make a name for himself. Still, not all is about pride, which is his weakness. He has a huge problem with losing and not being able to keep up with his fellow bretheren.

Heightened senses, which at times gets her to unfortunately have to go along with some of the Order on missions, threatening her life.
With two parents, both whom were always too busy for her, she grew up to be a timid sort of girl. Rarely did she ever get angry until she developed her powers. Everytime she had a vision of some sort, she would be terrified and instantly either hide in her room or stay in place, paranoid. But over the years, she grew used to it. Only til now does she ever appreciate the gift. Her parents divorced by the time she was 13, having to live with her mother which wasn't exactly the best thing, but she learned to become strong and willing to do anything for success.

Necromancy is his ability, which means that from the dead, he can find use. He would control them, use them to his advantage and even pull a few heart strings on his victims. Sometimes even the dead can be useful.
Nothing is much known about him besides his inheritance of being the so of a Gen one. Though this is fact: He never gives up until the target is dead, or under his control near death. He's ruthless, although on the side he could be kind, only when the opportunity presents itself. Otherwise, he is stone cold.
