A Werewolf's Heart Part 1.2

Kendal smiled, taking Conall's hand and putting it on his throat. He made the noise again, showing him where the noise came from.

Conall laughed as the vibrations in his throat tickled his hand.

Brados chuckled. "You think he likes his uncle at all," he asked Sam, kissing her cheek.

Sam laughed. "No... I don't think he like him at all." she teased.

Kendal smiled. "He knows who loves him."

Brados chuckled and held Sam close to him.

Raini smiled at her nephew, tickling his little belly, making the boy squeal with more laughter.

Sam smiled. "I love you." She said softly.

"Wanna hold him?" Kendal asked Raini.

Brados smiled and kissed the top of her head. "I love you, too," he whispered.

Raini smiled. "Yeah, sure."

She smiled, cuddling closer to him.

Kendal smiled, kissing Conall's forehead before handing him over to Raini.

Brados smiled and held her, watching Raini take Conall and cradle him, smiling lovingly at the boy.

Sam smiled, holding Brados' hands. "Have you seen Ilane or Nick this morning?" she asked.

Brados shook his head. "I think they're both still sleeping. I dunno if Nick got any sleep last night at all..."

"I think I heard him crying last night. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't sleep at all." Sam said softly.

Brados nodded. "And Ilane's nearly as upset as he is," he murmured softly.

"Was Al related to Nick or Ilane?" Kendal asked, confused.

"Al was Nick's older brother," Raini told him. "They had an elder brother, Ed, but he kidnapped Ilane, raped her, and ended up nearly killing her. All of this after he'd been kicked out of the pack. Nick was so furious, he killed Ed when Al refused to. Nick and Ilane's baby didn't survive," she murmured in explanation.

Kendal nodded. "Are you related to them Sam?" He asked. Trying to understand this new pack

Sam nodded. "I'm Nick's twin sister." She said softly. "I'm gonna go check on him." She said, slowly standing and slowly walking to nick and ilane's den.

Nick was still sleeping, though not very peacefully. He hadn't moved all night, but his expression suggested he was having a horrible nightmare.

Sami sat down next to him and shook his shoulder softly. "Nick?"

Nick opened his eyes and looked at her. "What's wrong," he asked, his voice thick with sleep.

She shook her head. "I just wanted to make sure that my last brother was okay. I don't want to loose you..." she said softly.

"You're not gonna lose me, Sam," he promised her, then sat up and hugged her. "How's your boy," he asked, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

Ilane groaned but only cuddled into the pillow more and stayed asleep.

Sam smiled. "Raini and Kendal are playing with him with Brados."

Nick stroked Ilane's hair softly, soothingly. "Kendal is... Brado's brother, right? And how's Raini doing?"

"Kendal hasn't left her side since last night and she's doing amazing." Sam said, smiling.

Nick raised his eyebrow suspiciously, but didn't comment on it. "Has she been to Al's grave yet," he asked quietly.

Sam nodded. "This morning I think. With Kendal."
