Still bound, gaggged, and blindfolded, it took a minute for Iris to realize that it was Dameon. When she did, she laid her head on his chest, trying not to cry.

Dameon tore those off and held her.

Iris clung to him, crying. "I was so scared," she mumbled through her tears, trying to explain why she was crying.

" I'm here. Noting is gonna harm you" he said softly

She cried her fears out, then wiped her tears, just noticing Chase. "God, we need to get you inside," she said, seeing his burnt skin blackening.

Chase felt exhausted, like the sun was taking away his strength, but he didn't show it. "It was Sam's fault... All of this... I'm so sorry," he told them both. "She is no longer my mate."

" C hase...my friend. C'mon " he pulled his jacket over onto Chase. " this is why you wear sun block. " he joked gently. " Lets go home."

Chase nodded, not really in the mood for jokes, and turned around as Crystal pulled up in the van. "I left her at the mall," she informed them, clearly upset at what had happened. "Are you all alright," she asked, opening the door to help Chase.

Iris nodded as Chase got in. "Neither Dameon or I were hurt," she murmured, looking at Chase worriedly.

Dameon felt like this was all his fault. " Chase...this is all my fault" he said softly.

"How's it your fault," Chase asked. "She said she wanted me to stop fighting. Even if I wasn't apart of the Order, I'd still be fighting against the Rogues. That's what she doesn't realize. It's her fault. I'm sorry."

" You're one of my dearest friends, Chase. A long time friend. You know I would do anything for you. I'll will repay you." he said gently.

Chase shook his head. "Nothing to repay me for, my friend."

"Let's get you home," Crystal said gently and started up the van, driving to the compound.

Dameon still felt bad.

He looked at Iris " Are you ok? Nothing hurting?" he said gently. He was worried about her and thier precious life that was inside her. Dameon was starting to get the fatherly instincts. He was able to sense thier baby's fear mixing with hers in that moment. Now he can feel thier baby's content when he was around as if the baby could sense his father. Dameon didn't doubt that the baby could sense him.


Dameon rubbed her belly gently, " Daddy's here now..." he murmered softly.

"I'm alright," she said quietly. "Might be bruised all over later, but I'm okay." She smiled softly when he rubbed her belly. He was gonna be such a good dad, it made her love him even more.

He hugged her close rubbing her belly gently.

She laid her head on his shoulder and rested her hand on his that was rubbing her belly. She was still shaken up, but she felt safe in his arms.

He would never let anything happen to her. He was trying to calm her down.

As Crystal pulled up to the compound, she frowned, seeing Sam.

Dameon whispered to Iris, " Chase isn't the only one mad at his mate."

"Tell me about it," she murmured, shooting a glare at Sam.

Dameon shook his head gently as he rubbed Iris's belly gently.

Tears were leaking out of Sam's eyes. Eyes that didn't stray from Chase' face. She felt his rejection towards her.

Chase growled at her. "How do you have the balls to come back here after what you did," he snapped.

"You need blood," she said with a shaky voice. "Mine will heal yo-" "Why in the hell would I take your blood after you put my brother-in-arms and his mate in danger," he bellowed. "And their unborn baby. She could have been killed!"

"You care about her more than you care about me?" He glared at her. "Now, I do. What you did was horribly wrong. I will never forgive you. Get out of my sight. Don't come back."

Dameon rubbed his temples as he tried to think. He didn't want Chase to do this but he knew but Chase was his brother in arms and he cared about his happiness.


" Chase, maybe.....she feels jealous of Iris..." he said. He didn't know why he was helping her after what she did.

"Why would she be jealous of me," Iris looked up at him.

" Well...you're having a baby..." he said.

"I'm perfectly capable of having a baby, too," Sam snapped. "I'm not jealous of her. I never wanted Chase to fight, but he wouldn't stop."

"Even if you killed everyone in the Order, I'd still be fighting against the Rogues, no matter what you did," Chase growled.
