" Just keep your ears and eyes open for any suspicious activity. Go to night clubs etc. " Dameon said, " Maybe there is a lead there."

Drew tilted his head to the side. "So... You're taking the pretty girl you found to the suckhead? By yourself? What if others show up, man? These mo-fo's have been oddly organized lately. Might be a trap, ya know?"

" Then what do you suggest we do" Dameon said.

"I dunno. Bring her back here and let her hang out with Sami and Crystal while we figure something out? Or is your pretty girl not a Breedmate? Is she? Have you mated her," he asked curiously, meaning by exchanging blood with one another.

" She is a breedmate." he said " And no I haven't."

The phone was taken out of Drew's hand without him realizing there was someone behind him. He growled, then stopped, realizing it was the second in command. "Could have warned me," he mumbled and shrugged it off, going to lounge in one of the armchairs.

"You plan to go shopping in broad daylight? You'll be turned to ashes before you reach the front door. Bring her here and let us plan. No need to be hasty in anything," the cold warrior pointed out. He'd lost his Breedmate nearly a thousand years ago in the war against the first vampires, the Ancients, as they were called. Luke and Dameon had fought side by side against the Ancients and have been close allies since.

" You know I can handle the sunlight, Luke. You know I'm one of the few that can." he said " But fine....I'll be there soon. I have to travel normally."

"Alright. We'll all be ready in the board room," he told him and hung up, handing the phone to Diz.

"What's going on?"

"He's going to be here soon. He's gotta travel normally. To humans, anyway," he sighed as they stood up and followed him into the board room, sitting down at their seats to wait their leader's return.

" Change of plans. We gotta go to somewhere else' he said.

Iris looked at him curiously. "Where are we going," she asked, now honestly wondering if she got him in trouble with someone.

" My headquarters." He said starting the car up and drove.

She looked at him curiously but didn't comment or question as he drove.

He arrived and got out. " Quickly: he said.

She hurried, getting out with her purse over her shoulder, following close behind him.

He took her hand and went to the back and knocked on the steel door and slide his card into the scanner when it came out of the side of the doorway. No human would've noticed the scan panel. It was guarded by another steel mini door that opened when one knocked on the door 3 times and came out asking for his card. Dameon swiped it and spat on the DNA scan. The computer unlocked the door and the scan cleaned itself and locked itself back in the steel compartment. He grabbed her hand and pulled her inside.

She watched curiously as he worked to open the door, then hurried alongside him, holding onto his hand as she tried to take in her surroundings and hurry at the same time.

He threw his coat down at his desk which had pictures and papers scattered everwhere.

"Nice of you to join us," Drew grinned. "You have any info? Cuz Luke came up with something. He wanted to wait 'til you got here."

"Nothing you already know from me" he said.

Luke stood and motioned for either Dameon or Iris to take his seat while he went to stand at the head of the table to explain.

"For a while, the Rogues had been only hunting alone. As of ten years ago, they started hunting in pairs, then their groups started increasing. Now they're up to ten at max. We kept asking why they started hunting in groups when we know they're far too gone in their bloodlust to think of organizing like that."

"Yeah, and," Drew pressed.

"I think someone's leading them. A Breed warrior."

"But why would any Breed member want to hire suckheads? They can't even hunt right half the time."

"I don't know, that's the part that's got me stuck. But I am convinced that someone's leading them and organizing them." Luke looked at Dameon, waiting patiently for his input, to hear whether he agreed or not.

"This might be the case, They're not smart enough to orginize there must be someone behind it..." he said leaning on his chair.

Luke nodded. "But who would do it?"

"I think we need to investigate more," Diz nodded, agreeing with Luke's hunch. "However, that part will have to wait until nightfall. No Rogues, or vampires in general," he glanced at Dameon, "should be topside during the day."

"You worry too much," Drew grinned. "You're just making me wanna go up there even more!"

"Was it possible before?"

"Guess so," Drew laughed.

Luke sighed. "Where is Chase?"

"Probably with Sami," Drew wrinkled his nose.

He shook his head.

Iris looked how she felt: confused.

Diz looked at her. "I'm sorry, miss. Welcome to headquarters. I'm Diz. This is Drew, Luke, and you obviously know Dameon. We have another, Chase, but he's with his mate right now."

Iris nodded. "It's nice to meet you all," she said, feeling a bit alone in a board room full of huge, muscly vampires.

Dameon gently nuzzled her.
