" Here is my van. It has a lot of junk in it but just push it to t he side." he said. Little did she know that he kept her in this van for a while when she was a baby before he gave her to a family.

"Are you alright to be walking around, let alone driving," she asked, looking at him worriedly.

" Yeah why? I just got a little toasty" he shrugged.

She stared at him in disbelief and shook her head, not in the mood to argue that he'd just been in fire. "Where are we going," she asked, moving some of his things to the floor and pulling her seatbelt on.

" We're going to a store." he said smiling, " Shopping. We're gonna need a cooler, blankets, first aid supplies, a tent, sleeping bag, maybe some outdoor garb for me and you. We're going to pose as a young couple that are out camping for the weekend. the idea is trying to get the humans...well other humans involved more than need be. Get it? We're gonna be driving and traveling alot. I gotta track down these vampires so we're gonna hit the rode." he said. " And I'm still going to keep you close"

She didn't understand exactly, but nodded and kept her mouth shut. "Alright."

" So I'll ask this now. Should we splurg and get DSi's and games? There are gonna be times you're gonna be bored as hell." he said.

"Uh...sure... But how will we charge them," she asked.

" I have an cigarette lighter and there is devices where we can put a charger in it and charge it. " he said.

She looked at him and shook her head. "No. I don't want to leave you," she murmured.

She stared at him as she thought. "I trust you. I can handle it."

" Alright...hm I'll get you an new camera for your birthday-" he never asked when her birthday was.

She chuckled and opened her purse, showing him her camera. "My birthday is next month. And there's no need. I keep my camera with me, always."

" I want to" he said shaking his head.

She examined her camera for any damage. "You don't have to. My camera wasn't hurt at all. Neither was my film."

" please. I want to get youa birthday gift" he said.

She looked at him, wondering why he wanted to give her a birthday gift so bad. "Alright. But don't spend too much money, that's all I ask."

She smiled. "So, where do you think the vampires ran off to," she asked.

" Well they know that people who are out int he country are typically spread apart and so if people are missing the cops will look in the woods and they will get picked off one by one that way too" he said.

"Won't that risk your kind getting exposed," she asked with a frown.

" they're smart. They don't stay in 1 place for more than 2 days" he siad.
