Finally a home~ Private

He had told both Eleanor and Elizabeth, both practically screaming of horror. Joshua couldn't feel any worse than he did. They came over within the hour, walking into the room quietly but with red eyes, puffing with their tears.

Marley was dead asleep again because of the pain medication. It wasn't a deep sleep. If you shook her she'd wake up.

Eleanor started praying even, showing how worried she was. Elizabeth only sighed, being calm as can be. "They say she'll be fine, but it'll be a while before everything's back to normal..." he mumbled quietly.

A little while later, Marley slowly started to wake up again. "mmh... Joshua?" She mumbled.

"Hey....Mom and Eleanor are here." Joshua said softly, the two women standing and smiling as they walked over. "Hey sweetie...." Elizabeth said, caressing Marley's cheek as Eleanor chuckled. "You're very tough, I have to say..."

Marley smiled at them. "Well, the pain killers and keeping me from crying like a little girl." She said. She looked at Joshua. "How long have I been asleep?"

Joshua sighed, shaking his head. "Uh, for like...two hours." he said, smiling. "So, how did it happen?" Eleanor asked, angry a tad.

"I was driving, following all the laws.... This guy tee boned me, flipping me into on coming trafic and then I was hit and flipped a few more times." she said. "The bastard killed my baby." she said bitterly, rubbing her stomach with her unhurt hand.

All three fell silent once the baby was mentioned. Both women were angry, very. Joshua however felt dirty and..useless. "How old?" Eleanor asked softly. "Three weeks pregnant, so..." Joshua muttered, biting his lip.

Marley let a few tears run down her cheeks. "I didn't even know..." She said, looking at Joshua.

"Yeah, we had no clue." Joshua said, looking at Marley and leaning over, kissing her softly. Both women now sucked in a sharp breath. How could life be so cruel? The war was practically done, why not let the poor girl rest and have a good life? "Don't worry, all this will be over before you know it." Elizabeth said, smiling positively.

Marley sighed. "I wish you could hold me, Joshua..." she said softly. "I really need you." she said, about to break down in tears again.

Joshua sighed, nodding. "I wish I could hold you too....Baby don't cry." he said, wrapping an arm around her slowly, barely touching her but still, he was very close to her. "It could take a while, Marley..." Elizabeth said, knowing these kinds of injuries too well.

"It can take a while before he's able to hold me again?" she asked, looking at Elizabeth. A tear escaped and fell down her cheek.

"At least for you to heal." Elizabeth explained quietly. She knew how it felt, needing to be held but not being able to be. After all, she was very dinged up.

She sighed, looking at Joshua. "I love you..."

Joshua smiled. "I love you too..." he said, kissing her forehead.

((Dude o.o....What if once she healed...she had about..30% of getting pregnant? O-O))

she sighed. "I'm a little hungry..." She said, looking around at all of them.

((Likely to get pregnant? oo))

Joshua twitched. "Uh, lemme get you something then. You up for a cheeseburger or soup?" he asked, going towards the door.

"Uhm... a burger." She said softly, relaxing into the pillows.

((Aw...okay!))

"Ok, burger it is." Joshua said as he left. "Don't worry about things. We'll help you as well." Eleanor said, smiling.

She sighed, nodding. "I know you will, Momma." She said softly.

Joshua soon came back with food, setting the tray down on the table beside her bed. "Ok, here goes." he said, smiling as he held the burger up to her mouth. "Take a good bite." he said, grinning. Eleanor and Elizabeth chuckled, at least finding something cute in this mess.

Marley sighed, slowly pushing herself up so she was sitting fully up and taking the burger with her good hand. "This is my only working limb. Please let me use it." she said.

Joshua coughed, nodding. He looked down, feeling a bit stupid. He should give her a chance at least. Sitting down, he turned on the TV to watch something at least to pass the time. Elizabeth sighed, closing her eyes. "So, do you know how long it would be to be in here?" Eleanor asked impatiently. She didn't like her granddaughter in such a depressing building.
