A Werewolf's Heart Part 1.1

She nodded. "I'm thirsty."

He nodded and pulled out another canteen, this one filled, and uncapped it for her, handing it to her.

She drank the water, handing it back to him with a smile on her face. "Thank you, love."

"You're most welcome, love," he said happily, glad she was feeling better. He kissed her cheek, holding onto her.

She sighed. "Can we sit down again. I'm ready to fall asleep and get through the rest of this."

"Alright," he said and sat down, holding her close. "Are you comfortable?"

"I'm always comfortable in your arms." she said, smiling.

He smiled. "I am, too," he kissed her forehead.

She smiled. "I love you." she said, falling asleep.

"I love you, too," he whispered softly, rubbing her back slowly.

She sighed happily. "Thank you for everything." She mumbled.

"You're welcome, love," he murmured, holding her close. "Sleep now," he whispered softly, kissing her forehead.

She nodded, slowly falling asleep.

He smiled and held her protectively as she slept, listening carefully to their surroundings.

A couple hours later, Ilane woke up. She felt amazing. The transformation was over, she didn't feel sick anymore.

Nick smiled down at her. "How are you feeling, love," he asked and kissed her lovingly. He could smell no more human in her.

"I feel great." she smiled up at him.

He smiled happily at her. "Your transformation's done. Would you like me to teach you how to be a wolf now," he asked happily.

She got off of him and nodded. "Hell yes."

He laughed and nodded. "Alright. Close your eyes and imagine yourself as a wolf. Imagine standing on all fours, being the most powerful, fastest, smartest huntress," he told her softly and shifted into a wolf, himself.

She nodded, closing her eyes. A tingle went through her body and she almost fell onto her hands, turning into a wolf.

Nick sat on his haunches, wagging his tail. He'd been right; she was the most beautiful wolf he'd ever seen. When she was done shifting, he pressed his nose to hers. 'You can open your eyes now,' he told her mentally, wagging his tail still.

Slowly, Ilane opened her eyes. Things were different, sharper. Her tail slowly began to wag as she looked around and her eyes slowly fell onto Nick. 'wow' she said.

He licked her, his tail wagging back and forth quickly, happily. 'You're telling me,' he nuzzled her. 'I knew you'd be the most beautiful wolf I'd ever seen,' he grinned a wolfy grin and licked her muzzle.

She smiled back and licked under his ear. 'I'm really that pretty?" she asked.
