Kat couldn't understand how this was happening. It didn't change the fact that she loved Deryk with her whole being, it was just insane as to think that she was the girl that everyone would be abstinent... But she was in love so she didn't care. She was too in love to pay attention to precautions. Besides that, she figured that the pill would keep her from getting pregnant. Obviously not...

Deryk wondered if she was mad at him for this. If she was, she needed him more than her anger towards him. He still couldn't believe it; it seemed almost like a dream, other than her crying into his chest.

She wasn't angry at Deryk though. How could she be? He loved her. That's all she could be mad at him for, if that was a reason at all. She looked up at him, wiping her eyes. "I'm sorry... I've ruined your shirt..."

"I can wash it," he kissed her forehead. "Are you okay," he asked her, pushing some of her hair back gently.

Kat sighed, nodding. "Yeah... I'm sure. It's just a big shock is all... I'm still not sure what to think... But I know I want to keep it."

He stroked her cheek, smiling softly at her. "We have nine months to decide, love," he murmured. "You don't have to decide right now." But he did like the idea of being able to hold the baby, and seeing her hold the newborn.

Kat sighed, smiling softly at him. "I want to keep the baby... And I hope it's a boy..." She laid her head back down on his chest and sighed.

He smiled and held her close. "What would we name him," he asked, stroking her hair.

Kat smiled. "John... John Dawson... And I want him to have your last name if that's okay."

He chuckled softly. "John Dawson Williams," he murmured and kissed her forehead softly. "I like it," he chuckled.

Kat nodded smiling. "Yeah, it sounds really good..."

He stroked her hair softly. "Do you want me to stay the night," he asked softly.

Kat nodded slowly, closing her eyes. "Yeah, I'd like that..."

He smiled and kissed her forehead. "Okay, Kitty," he murmured softly.

Kat smiled and blushed some, resting her head on his shoulder.

(O-O I had an idea which would totally blow things apart, but we'd have to skip to about the beginning of her third trimester... tt-tt)

He smiled and kissed her forehead, holding her close.

Kat fell asleep, her eyes slipping shut as the front door opened.

Deryk woke up seven months later, smiling softly at Kat and kissing her forehead softly before getting out of bed and going to make her breakfast. He'd spent the last seven months working hard to earn the money to take care of her and their baby.

Kat smiled softly in her sleep, her hands resting lightly on her stomach as she slowly opened her eyes. A sharp pain slipped through her body once Deryk had left the room, making her gasp. Her eyes widened when she thought through the months. "Wha-what?! No! It's, it's not time yet!" She called out, her hands on her stomach. "Deryk! My water broke!"

Deryk ran back in, staring at her in shock. "Are you sure," he asked, panicking, getting his shoes on and helping her out of bed so they could rush to the hospital.

Kat gritted her teeth together behind closed lips, her eyes wide. She nodded fast, moving slowly to the edge of the bed. She felt the first contraction already. What the hell was happening?! She wasn't due till June!

Deryk supported her weight as best he could without hurting her and walked her out to the car, shutting the door behind her and rushing into his seat, driving quickly to the hospital.

Kat breathed deeply, her eyes closed tightly as they walked to the car. Her parents had kicked her out about a week after she'd told them; long enough for her to get her stuff packed up. And now she was rushing to the hospital because she was in premature labor. Oh heeeeell.

When they got to the hospital, he hurried to grab a nurse to help him and a wheelchair and lowered Kat down into it, then hurried alongside them to the birthing rooms. The nurse had promised someone would park his truck, so he didn't bother with it.

Kat grimaced, her hands on her stomach as she breathed the way she was instructed to. She had no idea why she was going into birth. This wasn't good for herself, Deryk, and especially for the baby...
