He smiled and hugged her close. "I have awesome news, too. I might be getting a raise. Or a promotion," he smiled. "Boss-man came in while I was working and told me to keep up the good work. He already promised a big Christmas bonus."

Kat smiled, kissing him. "Oh that's fantastic love! I'm so proud of you!" She pulled him close, sighing gently. "So proud of you..."

He smiled and hugged her close. "Now I won't have to worry about going in early or staying late. And I can help you with dinner, if you don't beat me to it," he chuckled.

Kat smiled, kissing him gently. "I love you Deryk. God, so much..."

He kissed her back softly. "I love you, too, Kitty," he murmured softly. "Much more than you could ever imagine."

Kat smiled happily, her eyes closed. How could a time when everything seemed at it's worse go to a time of true joy? She didn't care. She was so damn happy for him. "I love more than... anything... I could never love anything as much as I love you..."

He smiled and held her close. "How much time before the lasanga is done?"

Kat smiled, wiping her hands on one of the dish towels. "Well, giving the fact that it's been in for about twenty minutes now... I'd say a little less than an hour..."

He smiled and kissed her neck softly. He had an excellent idea for her Christmas present. With that bonus, he was sure to get enough money for a ring. He wanted to propose to her. There was no doubt in his mind that he belonged to this young woman, and she belonged to him.

Kat blushed, pulling his lips to her as she made her way out of the kitchen. "I talked to James and Sarah today. They say that everyone misses you. I spent some time after school today, catching up with everyone... And I had an idea. Maybe we could invite everyone over on Christmas Eve? Have like a little party or something... I don't know, it's just a thought." She smiled, sitting him down on the couch.

He smiled. Even better. "Of course, love," he kissed her softly. "We'll have to rearrange some furniture, but that shouldn't be too hard."

Kat smiled, nodded. "Thanks babe..." She smiled and kissed him, her hands cupping the back of his neck.

He smiled. "I think that you'll be very happy this Christmas," he murmured against her lips. "At least, I hope so."

Kat smiled. "I'll be happy as long as I'm with you... Do you want to get a real tree?" It was already nearing the first week of Decemnber. They'd have to get things set up soon... Everything switched around, but that wasn't too hard.

Deryk smiled. "Sure. Get a nice piney smell in here," he kissed her softly. "But I don't have any ornaments..."

Kat nodded. "Well, maybe I can get my mom to anny up some of the ornaments that we haven't used in a while. We're on speaking terms again... So maybe everything will get worked out soon..." She kissed him back, smiling. "This is going to be a very good Christmas..."
