It's a Love Story

"But still." she said softly. "thank you Pavo. For helping me let go..."

He smiled softly at her. "you are most welcome, bellezza."

"I've missed you." she said softly.

"I know," he told her gently. "I've been right with you the whole time."

She nodded. "I've felt you." she said softly.

"I didn't mean to scare you," he apologized gently.

"It's alright. I just didn't know what to think." she said softly.

"Now do you," he asked gently.

she nodded. "I love Dante." She said softly.

Pavo smiled. "And he loves you, Roman. I've never seen him so happy than when he is with you."

She nodded, touching the shell still around her neck. "Thank you, Pavo." she said softly.

"Thank you, Roman," he smiled gently. "If Dante didn't have you right now, he would probably go back to his bad self.... He would get in a lot of trouble again."

"He did that before me though." she said. "It was you who brought him out of that."

"He doesn't have me anymore, bellezza," he reminded her gently. "He has you."

She nodded. "I know..."

Once help had come and dug everyone out, they rushed them all to the hospital. They had to wait for a large amount of people, however, before the medics reached them and took care of the worst of their wounds. "You might have to go back to your own country for proper treatment," the doctor told the visitors. "We hardly have enough medicine for all of these people."

"Let them borrow a phone. We will set up a ride back," Dante told them. The doctor nodded and went to fetch one.

Roman, who had the least worse injuries, was laying across a bed in the hall, her head in Dante's lap as he made sure everything was set for them to go home.

Rose was curled up in Aiden's arms, her cheeks stained with tears. She was still terrified, and wanted nothing more than to go home.

Jon was getting his head stitched right in the hall way because everywhere else was full. He was awake, staring at the ceiling as he held onto Ren's hand.

Ren couldn't watch them stitch his head. She stared down at her and Jon's hands, still scared.

"Hey." Jon whispered, shaking the hand she clung to. "It's okay."

"I just wanna go home," she whispered, squeezing his hand.

"We will soon." he promised.

She nodded, still clinging to his hand to try to calm herself down.

Once he was done with, Jon sat up, taking Ren into his arms, holding her close. He hadn't been able to do so yet."
