It's a Love Story

"No..." She chuckled. "The hammock."

"But that's what it is," he chuckled. "Just a vine of grapes. Would you like me to prove it," he asked with a chuckled, helping her out of the car.

She nodded. "I'd like you to prove it."

He chuckled and walked her over to the grapevine. He lifted up the leaves so one could see the wire that held them up off of the ground, and shaped them to look like a hammock. "See? The wire is connected to the trees, yes. But the vine is not. Is made to look this way. Once that tree grows big enough," he pointed to one on the other side of the garden, next to a large one. "Then we will put a hammock there. The better view is there," he smiled.

"So this isnt a real hammock?" she asked.

"No, one for decoration," he told her.

"Do you have a real one?" she asked.

"Not yet," he smiled. "We will get one soon."

She nodded. "I've always wanted a hammock."

He chuckled and helped her inside. "We're home, Ma-ma," he called.

His mother did not know english very well, so she spoke Italian to him. "You're home! I was so worried about you, Dante. What took you so long," she demanded of him, hugging him tightly.

"I drove slowly so I did not scare Pavo's bellezza," he answered in Italian. "She likes the scenery here."

Roman understood nothing but 'Pavo's Bellezza' and she frowned, slowly making her way to the sofa where her brother was sitting and leaned her head on his shoulder.

Jon rubbed her knee, taking her cast arm and a sharpie, drawing on it.

"She is welcome to stay for as long as she likes. I hope you have told her this, Dante," she warned him.

"I did, ma-ma," he promised, nodding.

"I bet she is starving. Go get her some food," she told him, shooing him away. He chuckled, going to Roman. "Are you hungry," he asked her gently.

Rome lifted her head from her brother's shoulder to look at Dante. "Not at the moment." she told him.

"Roman... you haven't eaten since last night." Jon said, looking at her.

"But I'm not hungry...." she said, looking at her brother.

"You should eat," Dante agreed gently. "Something small, at least," he insisted. "Try my mother's rolls. They are the best in all of Europe."

Roman sighed and nodded. "Alright. Can I have some milk also?"

"Of course," he nodded and went to get her some of his mother's rolls and a glass of fresh milk.

"Why do I have to be Pavo's Bellezza?" Roman asked in a mumble as she laid her head back down on her brother's shoulder.

He sighed, going back to drawing on her cast. "I don't know, Rome." he said softly.

"I haven't done anything to the universe... Why does it have to do something like this to me? What must I learn from this?"

"To move on maybe. I don't know. Wish I did though."

Dante came back in with the rolls, some extras for Jon, and two glasses of milk. "Try one," he smiled at Roman. "They might even be the best in America. I haven't been there yet, I would not know."

Roman nodded to Dante, taking a roll and eating it with her one hand. she smiled slightly and nodded. "These are good."

He smiled and left them for her, going to help his mother clean up the dishes so she could make some more recipes she'd just found on the Internet.

Roman took the milk, drinking all of it and taking one of her pain pills. She fell asleep with her head on her brother's shoulder.

[sorry i didn't reply. i was too drunk to really pay enough attention to finish one sentence, let alone roleplay XD]

Dante put a blanket over Roman and her brother so they'd be comfortable and handed Jon the remote. "Watch whatever you'd like," he told him and went to go help his mother when she asked for it.

((Lol. I know how that is. It's alright. xD How are you feeling today?))

Jon nodded, smiling slightly at Dante. "Thank you, man. For taking care of my sister, too."

"It is the least I could do for them. Roman is a very nice girl. I see why my dear brother cared for her so much," Dante said softly. "All he walked about was her after he met her," he chuckled. "He was very excited to get to know her."

Jon nodded and looked a his sister. "She means the world to all of us." He said softly.
