It's a Love Story

Jon showed up at the hospital later and poked his head into his little sister's room. He saw his dad holding her. "Mom's taking care of Ren and Rosie isn't answering her phone." he said to Mike softly as he walked into the room.

"I think she's still at Aiden's house. Can you go get her, please," Mike asked his son. "She needs to be here."

Jon nodded, looking at his sleeping sister. "How's Pavo?" he asked. He didn't know Pavo didn't make it.

Mike shook his head grimly, holding his youngest closer to him.

Jon's mouth dropped open and he caught his breath. He stood there in silence for a moment before clearing his throat. "I'll go get Rosie..."

"Be careful, son," Mike told him, concerned for all of them out on the road.

He nodded. "Nothing's going to happen to me." he promised, leaving. He showed up at Aiden's, ringing the door bell.

Rosie blinked, looking at Aiden. "Was that your doorbell," she asked, panicking. She didn't want to get caught and get in trouble.

He nodded. "It was," He nodded. "I'll get it." he mumbled. getting up.

Rosie hurried and got dressed, running her fingers through her hair, just in case, and went down after him. "Jon, what's wrong," she asked, instantly knowing something was wrong by his expression.

"Romans in the hospital." He said.

"What? Is she alright," she asked, panicking. "What happened!?"

Jon explained everything, even telling her about Pavo.

Rosie looked stricken, heartbroken, like she was about to cry, which she was. "Let's go," she murmured with a shaky voice, feeling horribly guilty for not being there and not answering her phone. Her sister's boyfriend was dead and she'd been making love to Aiden all day.

Aiden hugged Rosie. "I'm going with you." he said softly, walking with them to Jon's car.

Rosie didn't say a word the whole way there. When they got there, she couldn't hold back her tears. She cried, seeing her sister.

Aiden hugged her, letting her cry. Jon took over for his dad, letting Roman lay on him so his dad could go home and tell Lilli what had happened.

Mike went home with a heavy heart. "Roman's got a broken leg and broken wrist," he told his wife. "Pavo... He'd covered Rome with his body. He didn't survive," he said, guilt and pain in his eyes.

Lilli gasped and hugged Mike. "How's roman taking it?" she asked.

"She feels horrible. She fell asleep crying," he held his wife.

Lilli sighed, hiding her face in Mike's shoulder. "Jon and rose are with her now?" she asked.

He ndoded. "She was still sleeping when I left."

She nodded. "Just a broken leg and wrist, right? Nothing internal?" she asked.

roman slowly woke up, she looked at Jon and then at Rosie and Aided and broke down again.

"Not that the doctors could see on first examination. I'm sure they'll double-check to make sure," Mike nodded.

Rose frowned and went to hug her sister, crying softly for her. "Oh, Rome, I'm so sorry..."

She nodded, sighing. "does Pavo's family know?" she asked.

"I was falling in love with him...." she said, clinging to her sister best she could through the physical pain.
