Later, Baily went to find Damon and Ryder. "She's sleeping right now. I explained everything best I could and she agreed to stay. I don't think she has any family left by the way she said it." she said softly, moving into Damon's arms.

Damon held his mate, looking grim. They were still thinking hard over what they'd discovered earlier that night. "I'm glad Ryder was there to keep her from the rogues considering what we've discovered tonight. We think an associate of Dragos has been keeping deep underground, housing Breedmates. He'd apparently gotten a hold of the Ancient again and has been making these breedmates pregnant, making his own Gen One army. There have been many missing breedmates from several darkhavens the past few years, and we discovered someone selling them," he growled, disgusted by the idea.

Baily felt sick to her stomach and she held onto Damon. "That's horrible.... Those poor breedmates..."

"We're gonna put a stop to this," he swore. "We have to kill the ancient, not just let him go like last time. I can't believe this," he cursed furiously, letting his mate go and pacing around the room.

Baily watched her mated with worried eyes then slowly looked at Ryder. "She was asking for you before she fell asleep." she said to her son softly.

Ryder nodded and went to the infirmary, to the girl's bed. He sat by her, watching her rest with a slowly-growing protectiveness.

Later, Lilli woke up and looked at ryder, not really scared anymore. "What's your name?" she asked softly, sitting up in the bed.

He jumped awake, having been nodding off for the past hour. "Ryder," he told her gently and yawned.

"Sorry I woke you up." she said softly.

He shook his head. "It's alright. How are you feeling," he asked her.

"Okay... I guess." she shrugged.

"Are you hungry at all? Thirsty," he asked, ready to go get whatever she needed.

She nodded. "A little of both."

"What would you like to eat? Pick anything, if we don't have it, I'll go get it."

"You don't have to do that." she said softly, bringing her legs up to her chest, looking at him. Just to see if he would do it, she'd ask for something she knew they wouldn't have. "I feel like a McDonalds quarter pounder with lots of fries and a large dr. pepper."

He nodded and checked the time. "I can't go get it, but I bet my cousin will... Or at least my uncle." He called Olivia, waiting patiently for her to answer.

Olivia picked up her phone. Her and James had been doing stuff for a few hours and had fell asleep early. "Ryder? Why are you calling me?" she asked tiredly into the phone.

"I found a breedmate while I was hunting. She's hungry. Can you go to McDonald's? The sun's up, otherwise I'd do it myself," he asked sheepishly. "If not, I can ask your dad."

Olivia sighed, looking at James still asleep. "Alright..." she mumbled.

"Thank you, Olivia. I owe you," he told her and hung up, texting what Lilli wanted to eat.

Olivia groaned and slowly got out of the bed, trying not to wake up her mate.

James felt her moved and yawned. "Mmm... what's going on," he mumbled.

"Shh.. I've got to get stuff for Ryder. Just go back to sleep." she said softly, pulling a shirt on then going to kiss his neck softly so he'd feel relaxed enough to go back to sleep.

He mumbled something incoherent and fell back asleep, snoring softly.

She smiled and kissed his lips, whispering an i love you then left after getting dressed. She came back, going to Ryder and handing him the food.
