She smiled and soon stopped, moving into a clearing and then a cliff. "I come here whenever I need to be alone."

"Do you need to be alone now," he asked her, not wanting to intrude on time she needed to herself.

She shook her head and looked at him. "Yes. I took you here so that I could be alone." she said sarcastically.

He chuckled. "Just making sure."

"Isn't it pretty though?" she asked with a smile as she looked out toward the lights of the city.

"It is," he agreed softly, walking towards her as he gazed out over the city.

She looked at him. "Can I ask you to do something for me?"

"Sure," he said, looking at her. "What is it?"

"I'd like to see your breed mate mark." she said softly.

He looked at her curiously but took his shirt off so she could see the mark above his heart.

She looked at his face and then at the mark on his chest. She didn't think anything would mean so much to her but seeing the mark on the man she had been dreaming of was a relief and troubling at the same time.

"what are you thinking," he asked her softly, wanting to know what was going on behind those beautiful eyes.

"I'm not sure..." she said truthfully, slowly reaching up to touch the mark. "I just hope that you're my breedmate and not someone elses...."

He reached up slowly and stroked her cheek softly. "If you had told me that two nights ago, I would have told you that I didn't want anything to do with any of this," he murmured. "But now I can't imagine myself being anywhere else than right here."

She looked at his face and almost cried. Instead she moved into his arms again, fitting perfectly.

He held her, loving the way she fit into his arms like a puzzle piece.

She sighed and pulled away, looking at him. "I've had dreams of you." she told him softly.

"Dreams," he asked, looking at her. "What kind of dreams," he asked softly.

"I dreamed of you while you were with the rouges some times. Other times I dreamed of this. Of you and I together in different places..." she said softly.

He frowned. "I'm sorry you had to see me with the rogues," he murmured, wondering what she saw exactly of his tortures.

She nodded. "I mostly saw you chained to a wall, often bloody..." she mumbled, hugging him again.

"I hope that's the worst you saw," he hugged her close. She didn't need to see the violations done to him or the beatings.

"There was more. I would see your beatings some nights...." she mumbled.

He frowned and hugged her tighter. "You healed those wounds, Olivia," he murmured. "I have scars, yes. Plenty of them. But your dad and uncle saved me. There is no possible way for me to repay them, the gratitude I feel towards them is too great. And the way I feel about you... I'm not going anywhere."

She looked up at him. "You promise?" she asked.
