Baily looked at him. "Evan... do you mind if we ask you some questions?" she asked.

Evan looked at her and shrugged. "I guess..."

"How long were you there? Like with them? What's the last thing you remember of your life before you were taken? Or were you born with them?" she asked.

"I was taken by them five years ago," he murmured. "My girlfriend and I were out for a walk like we normally did, but something didn't feel right. She was acting different, too eager for something. This guy came up to us and said something, and she called him Master. The next thing I know, I woke up in that same cage, chained to the wall."

"What did you do before all that?" she asked.

"I was living with my mom in our apartment, being home-schooled. I never got along with anyone, so I didn't see the point in going to school. Mom taught me well, between working hard to make sure we had food, and making the food."

"Do you want to see her again? We can help you if you do." She said.

He shook his head grimly. "My girlfriend had sold me and my mom out. Mom was killed," he mumbled. "But they wouldn't kill me."

"Well, you're safe here. Nothing is going to get you." she chuckled, rubbing Damon's arm. "Not with these guys and Olivia around."

Damon grinned innocently; Niko chuckled and tossed a fork at him, which he caught easily. "hey, that's not very nice. you could have poked my eye out!"

"If a fork can poke your eye out, think of what could have already happened to you."

Damon thought about it and shuddered. "Ouch..."

"Yeah, 'ouch'," Niko laughed.

Ryder chuckled, shaking his head at his dad.

"I don't get it...." Baily said, looking at her mate.

Damon chuckled and nuzzled his mate. "I could have many body parts missing, love."

she smiled. "Ohh... right." she chuckled.

Damon chuckled and kissed her cheek. "I love you,"

Baily smiled at him. "I love you, too."

He nuzzled his mate, kissing her lips softly.

She smiled, kissing back.

Olivia looked at Ryan and smiled, shaking her head. Whenever one set of parents started making out, the other set did it also.

"We're gonna have to start patrolling the area again," Niko murmured. "If the Rogues truly are back, then we'll have to look harder."

Damon pulled his lips off of his mate's, though reluctantly, and nodded in agreement.

"What about Olivia and me," Ryder asked, still standing by his mother. "We could help-"

"No," Damon said sharply. "You two stay here and make sure your mothers and Evan are safe."

"Dad, this is the safest place in the U.S," he countered.

"We won't risk losing our children to those savages," he growled.

"I can help." Olivia said. "I can go out in daylight and I'm stronger than both of you." she said to her dad and 'uncle'.

"No," Niko growled.

"Why not? I can help." she said, sitting up straight now.

"Because I won't risk losing my daughter, or someone finding out what she is," he said, frowning.

"So, I'm to be locked up here for forever? Great..... that's a fantastic life!" she snapped.

"What? No, that's not..." He huffed, growling. Frustrated as hell. He was silent for a long moment. "Alright. But if you leave without telling us, or without plenty of weapons, I will personally hunt you down and strap them on you in broad daylight," he said. He didn't feel comfortable with it, but he had passed her in her hunting lessons, so he had no excuse not to. He just had to sit back and watch his baby girl be a grown-up.

"Are you going to teach me how to use the weapons?" she asked.
