"Yes," Niko nodded. "I will.."

"What about Ryder?" she asked.

Damon sighed. "I guess I don't have a choice... But you both have to train in the training room for at least four hours each day," he said as a compromise. "Niko and I will feel a hellovalot better once we know you know how to use your weapons like you do walking."

"I have no problem with that." Olivia said, leaning back in her chair again.

Evan raised his brow at Olivia. "You're a vampire, too," he asked. As far as he knew, vampires were only male. And breedmates were only female. Then again, look at him, a breedmate. He subconciously rubbed his hand over his birthmark.

She nodded at him. "the only female vampire." she said softly. "My parents are technacally fallen angels. So, I'm different. I'm strong, faster, smarter..."

"Huh.." was all he could think to say.

She looked at him for a moment then looked at her dad. "Do you think he has a power?" she asked him. "Like how Momma heals and Aunty Baily reads minds?"

Evan scowled, looking away. He knew his power. It had cursed him all his life. He had strong psychic abilities, able to move anything from a hundred yards away (the farthest he'd measured), and able to blow up objects from the same distance. He'd tried his abilities to escape, but it had wore him out, and so he was captured again.

Olivia felt his change of mood and looked at him. "You know your power." She said. It wasn't a question.

He looked at an empty cup on the other end of the table. His gaze followed it as it rose up in the air, then broke into a million tiny pieces, all falling to a little pile of dust on the table where it had been sitting.

"telekinetic." she nodded. "So you've had vampire blood before?" she asked.

"No. I was born with this ability," he murmured.

"That's not uncommon for breedmates." Fairly said. "I was born with my ability also."

Ryder could hear Evan's growing discomfort. "Why don't I show you to the guest room we set up for you," he offered.

Evan nodded, thankful for the offer.

Ryder showed him to the room. The room was it's own apartment, as were all of the other private quarters in the compound. "You're welcome to come and go as you please, I'm sure Niko told you that. You can tell them to leave you alone, though," he said. "If you need to be alone, they'll understand."

Evan nodded. "Thanks..."

He nodded and left him to shower and rest.

Later, Olivia was sitting on the steps on the way to Evans quarters. She wanted to talk to him but didn't know what to say.

Evan had gotten dressed in some of the clothes provided for him and decided to go take a look around. He opened the door and started walking. He saw the girl - Olivia. She looked confused, or something of the sort. "You okay," he asked, looking like he felt much better, though he was still skinny. It'd take a while for him to gain his weight back.

Olivia quickly stood and nodded at him. "Yes. Uhm... Would you like a tour?" she asked.

He nodded. "Sure," he said. She looked nervous, he noticed. "Are you sure you're okay," he asked. "You're... Anxious."

"You're just the only male I've come in contact with besides for Ryde, my uncle and father." she said softly.

He looked at her. "And you're the first person, let alone girl, I've seen that isn't some freakshow in about five years."

"So, I guess were both in the same boat.... sort of." she shrugged.

"you don't have to be nervous of me," he told her

"It's not you I'm nervous of. It's me." she said.

"Why are you nervous of yourself," he asked her.
