"I guess." she said softly, letting go of Niko and going to Jon sad. "i love you." she whispered to him.

Jon kissed her cheek. "I love you, too."

"I'll come back soon." she promised, letting go of Jon and going back to Niko.

Jon nodded. "We'll see if we find out more information on the male breedmate," he said, looking at Niko.

Niko nodded. "Thank you," he told Jon, taking his mate in his arms. He extended his hand to the once-human in a peace offering. Jon took his hand and shook it firmly.

Fairly smiled at Dianna, hugging Niko close as he shook hands with Jon. She was proud of both of them.

"It's amazing what ten years can do," Diana teased, giggling. "I suppose they grew up," she smiled at Fairly.

"Ha-ha, Diana," Niko chuckled, shaking his head. "We'll both visit soon," he promised and teleported them back home.

Fairly smiled and kissed Niko. "I love you. So much."

"I love you, too, baby," he kissed her.

The boy shivered in his cage of a cell, having been tortured by the vampires that held him hostage. The experiments were getting more and more intense, more and more taxing on his body. They refused to let him die, though that's all he wanted. They kept him nude so he couldn't possibly hang himself with his own clothes. They kept him chained to the walls so he couldn't hurt himself, or escape again.

"Daddy...." Olivia said as she walked into his study a few days later. "I've been having a weird dream... About a man."

Niko looked up from a large map that he and Damon were looking over. There were tons of markings on it, of where they'd tried to find something. "What is it, sweetheart," Niko went to his daughter. "Tell me everything."

"Uhm... " Olivia looked over at Damon and bit her lip. "A man... chained naked to a wall or crying in a cage.... He's being tortured, Daddy. It's horrible. I think this man may be my Breedmate. Do you have dreams about your Breedmate before you've met her?"

Niko nodded. "We've been trying to find him to save him," he assured his daughter. "I dreamed about both Diana and your mother before I met them. Did you see exactly where he was in your dream?"

She shook her head. "I didn't see it, but I know what the building looks like. It's old and gothic looking. And it's in the forest..."

Damon nodded. "I saw a building like that. We'll hit it tonight."

"Who was torturing him, sweetie. Did you see anyone else?"

She nodded as a tear ran down her face. As she spoke, she described exactly what a rogue looked like.

Niko and Damon cursed. "We'll get him first thing tonight," Niko promised his daughter. "You stay here with Ryder, Baily, and your mom. Don't leave the compound for any reason, do you understand," he looked into his daughter's eyes.

"Can't I come with you and help?" she asked, holding onto her dad.

Baily felt a rise of fear and agrenalllin (can't spell tonight) in her mate and walked into the hall, concerned when she saw him comming down the hall for her.

"No, sweetie," he shook his head. "What you saw in your dream is nothing you should actually encounter. Damon and I exterminated those things years ago, when you and Ryder were young. Apparently they're back. We don't know how many there are. I won't let you out on the street until we know more. Same goes for Ryder."

Damon saw his mate and took her in his arms. "Stay inside with Ryder and the others tonight," he murmured. "Rogues are back."

"But Daddy... I'm stronger, I can help." she begged, hugging him.

"What?" she mumbled, holding her mate close. "I thought they were gone."

"No, Olivia," he told her sternly, but being gentle with her. "Not until we know how many there are and if they're planning something. You have no idea how dangerous they are. I'm not putting my only daughter in the battlefield blind as a bat," he frowned.

"So did we, baby... So did we..."

She sighed and nodded. "Then teach me about them when you back."

She held onto him. "Be careful... Come back to me."

Niko nodded. "Once we have more information, I'll tell you everything," he promised.

"Always," Damon kissed her.

She nodded. "Alright." she said softly.

Baily kissed back, holding onto him. "Don't get to angry..." she said, talking about his fire abilities and the last time he had used them.

Niko kissed his daughter's forehead. "Let's go let Ryder and your mother know. I'm sure Damon's already let Baily know."

"I won't, love. Niko will keep me in check," he chuckled.

She nodded. "Are these things really that dangerous?" she asked as they walked.

"I know, but seriously Damon..." she sighed.
