She shrugged. "I'm not really sure. There are different beliefs. Christianity is mostly English. These gods are greek. Though they do transfer into Roman mythology."

"They're the same in Rome? Are Rome and Greece close together?"

"Well, they're not really the same. They have different names. The Romans named lots of their gods after planets. Or, humans named the planets after the gods, either way. The god Zeus in Greek Mythology is Jupiter in Roman mythology. And Posidon is Neptune." she explained.

"That's so weird... And confusing," Ryder said, his eyebrows furrowed. "Why did they change the names?"

"Because Greek and Roman cultures are different. Sort of like Mommy and Daddy. One's boy and one's girl but they're still Angels." she said.

"Oh, okay. Daddy said we're moving to America so Mommy can be happy," he told her.

"Are we all going?" Olivia asked.

He nodded. "That's what Mommy said.

She smiled. "Good. I'd miss you if you left." she said softly.

He smiled. "I'd miss you, too. You tell good stories."

She smiled. "I like telling stories."

Ryder smiled and finished his apples.

Olivia smiled at him then went back to her books. She usually didn't say anything until someone else talked to her first.

Fairly walked into the library and smiled at Ryder. "Did you have a nice swim with your mom?" she asked.

Ryder smiled at her and nodded. "I can float now," he said.

Fairly smiled and kissed Olivia's cheek. "Good, Ryder. I'm happy for you."

Ryder smiled happily.

Fifteen years later, a young man is sitting in a lab, wires connected him to a machine. If he moved, the long-thought-extinct Rogues would shock him. Or bite him. Either one was undesirable. The young man sat, glaring, as the head vampire poked and prodded at his body, writing down notes on a clipboard. How many more notes can this vampire take? After all, the young man had been their prisoner for little over five years.

Olivia was a grown vampier but still very young. 20 for a vampire was still dangerous and because she was a female vampire, no one knew what she was capable of. She was stronger than her father and faster than Damon. She was on the hunt with her dad. She did drink human blood but refused to do so from innocent people. Finding bad people in New York where they were living was not hard.

Ryder had hunted the previous night and was walking around with his mom and aunt. They wanted to go out for a while. Though the rogues were believed to be gone for good, Ryder still felt nervous with his mother being outside. His father had told him what had happened when he was just a baby, which only fed the uneasy feeling. He walked close to his mom and aunt, keeping a keen eye around them. His father had taught him well.

"Ryder.... You're making me nervous." Baily said, looking up at her son. He was as tall and braud as his dad.

"Sorry," he apologized. "Dad told me why he doesn't let you go out much... Made me kinda nervous..." he smiled sheepishly.

"It'll be fine. The rogues are all gone." she smiled.

"If you say so, Mom," he said, not so sure. But he appeared to stop worrying about it, only looking around when his mom wasn't looking. He had inherited his mother's gift of reading minds. He used this to his advantage as well.

Ryder.... I swear to god if you don't stop..... she threatoned. She was a mom and knew what her son was doing. Even though both of them could block out the voices, she was a mom.
