Jarred huffed, shaking his head. "Horribly? Of me? A monster? Wow, she truly amazes me.." he muttered, almost sarcastic but he couldn't help but be thankful.

"Monster or not, it's time for dinner," she said, heading back towards the house.

Jarred grunted, following after Elizabeth. "Very brave, I'm surprised you're not shaking yet." he muttered, rolling his eyes as he knew he couldn't change back quite so fast. "If you don't mind, I might have to eat out here, it was hard enough going against my nature of only turning when it's full moon, but turning back isn't that easy either." he mumbled, embarrassed.

"I'll bring your steak out here, then," she said. "Do you want it raw or cooked," she asked, halfway picking on him.

Jarred stared at her, as if wanting to swat at her with his huge paw. "Don't pick at me." he muttered, huffing as he laid down on the ground, his tail moving about behind him. "Doesn't matter."

She looked back at him and had to giggle. "I can't help it. Not when you look like an overgrown puppy."

"So you admit I'm cute?" Jarred chuckled, playing around since he won't get his dinner anytime soon.

She looked at him for a bit. "When you're in this form," she admitted. "I haven't decided with your human one yet," she teased.

Jarred growled. "Get me my food woman." he muttered, huffing and looking away.

She chuckled and went inside to get his food, telling her parents what had happened. Her father came outside with her, carrying two large steaks for the overgrown wolf.

Jarred looked up, staring at the steaks. "Thank you..." he muttered, slowly inching towards the man to grab a steak with his teeth.

Joseph smiled and handed it to him, not afraid of his teeth. "I hear your father has joined in catching the rogue wolf," he said conversationally. "Do you think he will truly be of help?"

Jarred was chewing on the meat thankfully, but he looked up and huffed. "He will be of use. He wouldn't just come down here for nothing. He has his own pack to look after, and especially with betas who want his position.." he muttered, continuing to eat.

Joseph nodded. "I'll be sure to meet him next he comes."

Jarred grunted. "Not sure he'll come down here, he doesn't like speaking with humans much unless necessary." he said, licking his jaws and moving on to a second steak.

"Then whenever it is convinient," Joseph bargained, nodding.

"Either way, you should both go and eat. I won't keep you." Jarred said, eating the rest of the steak.

"There will be leftovers if you're still hungry," Joseph smiled at the wolf, going inside with his daughter.

Jarred grunted, chewing on the bones. He was definitely enjoying the taste of the meat and the bones as well, though he saw himself sort of accommodating to this sort of treatment. It would be a while before he actually turned back, after chewing the bones to the raw marrow, he walked to the stables, ignoring the crazy breathing from the horses whom were now nervous as he laid down on his 'bed' and closed his eyes.

Elizabeth couldn't fall asleep that night, and was up walking around her house in her nightgown and a shawl, holding a candle so she could see where she was going. Her hair was down past her shoulders in long waves, framing her face. She went into the library and found her grandfather's diary and began to read it, sitting in the window seat, which was the most comfortable with all the plush pillows and beautiful view of the night sky.

Jarred found himself awoken with cold sweat and aches all over. He must've turned back and passed out all at the same time. He shivered, grabbing the blanket and wrapping it around himself. "Great..now to find those clothes.." he muttered, rubbing his hot face and getting up with the blanket covering all of him. However he looked up and saw a light within the window. "Hm...who could be up?" he asked himself, raising a brow but continuing on his search for the clothes he had so easily taken off.

Elizabeth was focused on the writings of her grandfather, how he'd become the great hunter that he had been. She figured if she studied what her dear grandfather had done, she might learn to become better, herself.

Jarred sighed as he then caught the clothes that were somehow hanging in a tree. Nice. He grabbed them, putting them on quickly and still holding the blanket over himself. His sweat continued no matter what, since his temperature raised from changing back. He continued to look at the light from the window and huffed. "If that girl is still up, well damn...I should wait to turn tomorrow night and test her then. Damn." he mumbled, knowing they missed an opportunity to practice.

Elizabeth turned the page carefully, not wanting to harm her grandfather's book. She caught movement in the corner of her eye and looked outside, seeing someone looking towards her. Was that Jarred?

Jarred grunted, feeling eyes on him now also. "Crap." he muttered, walking quickly to the stables once more to try and catch some sleep. He was a bit hungry still, he hadn't eaten much lately, but he wanted rest first.
