It's a Love Story

"Alright I'll be there soon." she said the hung up, looking at Cassie. "You want to come with me?"

"Sure, I'm starving," Cassie smiled.

she nodded, bought what they had in their position and then made their way to Macy's.

Once everything was paid for, Rose took Ren to the bathroom and had her change into one of her new outfits before they went to lunch. "Thank goodness the shoes match," Rose chuckled. "Alrighty, what are we hungry for?"

"Chinese!" Roman smiled. "That's that chinese place in the food court that we like."

"Chinese sounds good. What about you three?" Lilli asked.

"Exactly what I'm craving," Cassie chuckled.

Rose smiled and nodded enthusiastically.

Ren smiled. "I've never had Chinese."

Rose stared at her. "Girl. You are missing. out. Come on," she smiled, grabbing Ren and walking with her to the food court.

"Rose... you think maybe it would be a good idea to take this slowly?" Lilli asked, pulling out her phone to call Mike. "Maybe not push all this on Ren all at once?"

Rose stopped and looked at Ren apologetically. "I'm sorry, I didn't reallize..."

Ren shook her head "It's okay. I know your intentions are good," she chuckled.

Mike heard his phone ring and answered it, seeing it was his beloved wife. "Everything okay, baby," he asked.

Roman smiled, already at the chinese restraunt. "Alright, Ren. You've got to try the orange Chicken. I love orang chicken in general but this place has some of the best."

Lilli smiled, telling Cassie what she wanted then walking outside to talk to her husband. "Everything's great. We're stopping for lunch at that Chinese place Roman likes. Are you and Jon having fun?"

Ren nodded. "Okay," she said, ordering the orange chicken with beef and broccoli and noodles. Hey, a girl's got to eat. And with the way Ren was used to eating, she'd better eat while she can.

Mike smiled. "That sounds good. I bet Ren will like that. Yeah, we're brushing and saddling up the horses. You know the guy who bought Cloud from us? He said Cloud and his horse had a baby. He's gonna bring the colt up later for all of us to see. He said he might give her to us."

Roman ordered just about the same thing as Ren, just with more orange chicken and more broccoli. Once they all had what they wanted, she followed Rose to a table. "So, what next? Makeup?" she asked her sister.

"Oh Mike! That's wonderful." she smiled. "How's Splatter? I've been so busy I haven't been able to give her the attention I'd like."

"She's doing good. She misses you," he smiled. "And I'm not sure, but if Greg does give us the colt, I'm thinking about giving her to Ren. What do you think? That way each one in the family has their own horse, raised from birth."

"I think that's a great way to welcome her." she smiled.

Mike smiled and nodded. "I'll have Greg bring over the baby before the cookout ends tonight. Have fun, sweetheart." He chuckled as Splatter nickered at him. "Splatter says she loves you."

"I love you, too baby." she smiled, hanging up then going back inside.

"She said she loves you, too. Are you happy now, Miss Nosy," Mike chuckled, stroking Splatter's mane. The horse nickered, nodding her head as if she'd understood. Mike laughed. "Hey, Jon! Come here and help me, I've got a surprise for you!"

Jon came out wearing the sexy cowboy stuff with his shirt halfway buttoned. "What is it?" he asked, putting on his hat.

"Greg, the guy who bought Cloud and the other horses from us when Rosie was born, told me that Cloud and his mare had a baby. He's gonna give us the baby and I was thinking about giving her to Ren. What do you think," he asked with a smile.

Jon smiled. "I hope she likes horses. That would be a great way to welcome her into the family." he said, saying almost the exact words as his mother.

Mike chuckled. Jon really was like his mother. "It's settled, then. Help me clear out this last stable for when the baby gets older. She can sleep with Cloud until then so she doesn't get too cold at night."

He nodded. "Alright." he said.

As the girls got done shopping, Rose helped carry Ren's new clothes. She knew there was a surprise for Ren at the party, but she didn't know what it was. Judging by her mom's face, though, Ren would love it.

Once they got Cassie home and then got home themselves, Lilli went out to the stables, smiling at Mike. "Hey baby." she said, announcing herself.

Mike smiled and went to his wife, kissing her. "Hey, honey. How was the shopping trip?" They had the stable all clean with fresh hay in it for the baby.

She smiled and wrapped her arms around his waist. "It was good. I bought something for us." she said, which was usually some kind of lingerie.
