"Do you have any questions," Damon asked the first breedmate they'd discovered.

"She pretty much asked all of them." She said, shrugging.

"Shall we go get your things? Or are you hungry first," Damon asked, standing.

Fairly cursed. "Let's get our stuff... We'll eat afterwards..."

Niko looked up at Fairly. "What's wrong," he asked, putting his past behind him where it belonged.

"I don't want to do any of this..." she sahid.

"You can stay living your human life. But we'd have to swipe away your memories for your own safety," Niko told her.

"now, see, I don't like that..." She said.

"I'm sorry, but that's all we can do," he told her. "We're sworn to keep you safe."

"Why?" She asked. "You don't even know us."

"Because you're Breedmates," Nikolai told her. "You need protecting. There are no female vampires - no one knows why. You're the closest things to them and the Rogues won't hesitate to rape you if they have the chance."

"How are you even sure we're breedmates? You never answered that question."

He went over to her and ran his fingers over her birthmark. "This, and you smell like rain and honeydew. A much sweeter smell than normal humans."

Fairly looked at her arm where he had touched. "Like rain? Huh... "

Niko nodded, going to sit back down. "Do you have anymore doubts?"

"Lots, but there's nothing I can do about them." She sighed.

"Doubts about what? Maybe we can confirm them for you," Niko told her.

Fairly shook her head. "Not a lot would... Come on Bay, let's go get our stuff..."

Baily nodded and stood. "Are you guys coming?"

They nodded. "We didn't get our meal. I hope you two won't mind waiting with one of us while the other goes off to get a quick drink," Damon smiled sheeipshly.

"Your meal?" Fairly asked. "What do you lean, like, people?"

"I told you, we drink human blood. We don't kill, and we erase their memories afterward. No ones the wiser," Niko assured her.

She sighed. "Alright, I guess..."

Niko nodded and stood. "Who wants dinner first," he asked his brother-in-arms.

"You can go ahead. I'll go with the girls." Niko nodded and took off for the elevator. He'd go by foot while Damon took the girls in the van.

Baily went to Damon. "So, if you're as old as you say you are, why can't you dance?"

He chuckled. "My body is used to fighting, not dancing."
