Niko looked up at Damon with a raised eyebrow.

Damon sighed. "Our job is to exterminate the Rogues and protect all Breedmates. Which is where you two come in," he said gently.

Baily looked at Fairly. "what?" they said together.

"You share the same birthmark. The birthmark that every Breedmate has somewhere on their body."

"Have you two noticed anything special about yourself," Niko asked, no longer the ice-cold warrior he was when he was standing so protectively in front of them. "You didn't quite fit in with everyone growing up? Always felt detached and that you didn't belong?"

Fairly nodded. "that's how we found each other." she said softly.

"I'm still confused..." Baily said.

"Breedmates are the only ones who's DNA are compatible with vampires. Only Breedmates can provide vampires with a child," Damon said gently. "And that is why we've sworn to protect all of them, if we can."

"Rogues are the vampires you don't want to mess with," Niko said gently

"We're both Breedmates?" Baily asked. "what if we don't want Vampire babies?"

"how are we even sure that we are these mates? how are we even sure you're who you say you are?" Fairly added.

"You can have human babies, too. You can go back to living normal human lives if you want, after we're done explaining," Damon told them.

"Your birthmarks and abilities are proof," Nikolai said. "As for us... We are Breed warriors. We're the 'good' vampires," he admitted. Both Damon and Niko gave the girls space now, in case they would be afraid. "We're sworn to protect and honor you both, as well as all other Breedmates."

"And what if we decided to stay?" Fairly asked, wanting all angles before they decided anything. "What would that entail?"

"You could either go to a Darkhaven, where many other Breedmates and Breed males live, or you could stay here under our personal protection, though we would ask you not to leave during the night without us escorting you." Damon explained.

Niko nodded. "It's all your choice from here. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask."

Baily and Fairly went to the side of the room ans sat in the chairs. It looked at if they were arguing. Fairly sighed and Baily got up, going to the two other men. "She doesn't really agree but she trust's me and I trust you. We don't promise to be your mates or whatever... not yet. We'll do what we can to help though."

The two men nodded somberly. "Just to reassure your safety, you'd have to move here," Niko said. "There are plenty of guest apartments down here. We could go get your things tonight and have you all settled by tomorrow afternoon."

"No, we can't do that. We live in a dorm. No one can get us there. Why would anyone?" Fairly asked.

"If the Rogues find out what you are, they will rape you and force you to bear their children, if they don't kill you in the process," Niko told them. "And they won't care who sees."

"But what about school? Do you know how much out dorm rooms cost?" Fairly asked.

"We can pay anything. Money isn't a problem," Damon promised with a smile. "You get very good with stocks and handling money when you've lived a thousand years."

"Are you really a thousand years old?" Baily asked, smiling.

"Baily!"

"What? Do you know any other vampires we can ask?"

"You're to curious for your own good..."

Damon laughed. "Yes. Nikolai and I both are over a thousand years old. I'm three years older than he is."

"Curiosity isn't a bad thing in this case," Nikolai reminded them. "Anything else you'd like to know?"

"She'll ask enough questions for the both of us..." Fairly sighed, sitting down again.

"Shut up." Baily said then smiled back at the men. "Do you drink blood?"

The two Breed warriors chuckled and sat down in their seats, readying themselves for the apparent onslaught of questions.

"We do drink blood," Damon nodded. "We need to every other night or so."

"Can you eat human food?" She asked.

Niko wrinkled his nose. "It's disgusting. We only eat it if we have to keep up with human appearance."

"What about garlic?"

"It smells nasty as any other human food, but it doesn't do anything other than stink," Damon shrugged.

"Crosses? Holy Water?"

"They don't do anything. In fact, we have a little mini-chapel down the hallway there," Niko nodded out the door of the board room.
