Sam smiled. "good try!"

Ben finally woke up and sat up, nuzzling Sami as he held her close.

She smiled and kissed him. "I missed you."

"I missed you, too," he kissed her lovingly. "How are we feeling this morning?"

She smiled. "Really good. You?"

He kissed her neck. "A little... clingy. But good," he smiled.

"I don't mind clingy." she smiled.

He chuckled. "I meant something else by clingy, sweetheart," he nipped her neck.

She smiled. "Maybe that's what I meant by good."

He smiled, kissing her softly and hungrily.

She smiled but pulled away. "What about nick?"

Ben looked down at their boy, who was blinking up at them curiously with big eyes. He chuckled and took his boy. "You wanna go see Grandma?"

Sami laughed but then frowned. "how is your mom? I haven't seen her yet."

"She's better than she was," he said softly. "I think seeing her grandson will help."

She nodded and handed Nick over to him. "If you're sure."

He kissed her softly and went to take Nick to his mom. "Mom, you want to watch Nicky for a while?"

Ilane, who was in her room, nodded. She looked like she had been crying all night. "I'd love to." she smiled.

He knelt down and handed Ilane her grandson. "This is your grandma, Nicky," he said gently to his son.

Nicky gurgled happily, his little arms waving.

Ilane smiled. "I remember when you were this small... You and Kale."

Ben smiled softly. "That was a long time ago," he murmured, looking down at his happy son.

She nodded bouncing her grandson on her knee. "that was a long time ago." She agreed.

Ben stroked his son's head and kissed it, then kissed his mom's cheek. "I love you, mom," he said softly. "I should get back to Sami. She's waiting for me."

Ilane smiled up at him. "You're happy to have her back. I can tell."

He smiled and nodded. "I am. I missed her so much."

"I could tell. I bet you and Sami are the only ones who know how I feel..." she said softly, looking at her grandson again.
