Renee smiled at him even though she wasn't 100% sure of what they were supposed to do either. "How about after I've finished working on the project with Madeline we all watch a movie together?" It wasn't exactly a date but it was better than looking down at the floor and scraping her feet on the tiles. "I'm sorry if that seems like I'm inviting myself to stay for longer than I'm wanted." she quickly added, not wanting to be rude.

" I think its a good idea." he said gently, " I think it'll give us a good chance to spend time together.... like a date." he blushed gently.

Renee smiled at him and then laughed. "You're Brad Boyd. You're too macho and cool to be blushing over someone like me." It surprised Renee that she was being the brave one in the- what was it that they were in? Was it really a relationship? Did she have a boyfriend? Or was he really just not that interested in her? "Yeah, a date." she smiled thoughtfully at him.

" I'm a really shy guy" he said gently. He wasn't sure if she wanted him for a boyfriend. He was shy to ask if they were, well, in a relationship.

Before they could continue on babbeling Madeline came to their aid with two bottles of Elmer's Glue. "Hey!" she said warmly, unaware of the semi-relationship between her brother and project partner. "I hope that Brad wasn't bothering you too much." she teased, walking over to the table and setting down the bag. Taking out the two bottles of glue she looked over thoughtfully at Renee and Brad. Renee didn't seem to have taken her eyes off of Brad.

She gave him one last look before excusing herself and going back to the kitchen table. Renee sighed softly to herself and looked over to Madeline had who had started to play around with the radio looking for a suitable station with good music. As she flipped through the different stations the room seemed to go silent when she reached the R&B channel which was playing Marvin Gaye's hit song "Let's Get it On."

Madeline shrugged her shoulders. "Marvin Gaye was a great man." she answered back, though she did spare her brother and partner the humilation by switching to another channel. She was happy to reach a station that was playing a Lady GaGa song and walked back over to the kitchen table to finish working on her project with Renee. They ended up finishing around an hour later.

Brad took a light nap during that time. He woke up and yawned gently when they were done. He had to talk to her about it.

Renee and Madeline chatted for a bit before Renee decided to finally let her know that while Madeline had been away she and Brad had talked about watching a movie. She didn't dare say that it was because that had admitted to a mutual liking of one another. At that moment in time she wasn't sure how Brad regarded her, not really. Because of this she didn't want to say anything that would make him upset with her.

Brad wanted to talk to Renee about these unsaid words like if they wanted to date or not, if she wanted him as he boyfriend, or not.

Madeline seemed tickeled pink at the thought of having someone over to watch a movie. She sent Renee off into the living room to pick the movie while she prepared popcorn and went down to the basement to get a couple of cans of soda from the fridge. Of course she still didn't know anything about whatever it was that was growing between Brad and Renee.

Renee offered him a small smile and then walked over to the shelfs were all of the DVDs were kept. Her eyes scanned over the wide collection and she tried to think over what would be a good movie for all three of them to watch. Due to her height, she was having trouble reading the DVDs on the very top shelf. "Brad, can you help me with the DVDs on the top?" she asked, turning to look at him.

"Thank you!" she smiled brightly at him. Perhaps she felt a bit more easy going around him because now she knew how he felt. He didn't think that she was some dweeby loser- he liked her! The thought of it made her heart pump happily and her cheeks a pretty and radiant pink. Picking out an Adam Sandler comedy, she then asked for help putting them back up, Her hand rested on his as she finished putting them away.

A soft blush lit up her cheeks and she took in a gentle breath. Before much else could be said Madeline was walking back into the room with a tray of popcorn and soda. Sighing, Renee dropped her hand from his and went to show Madeline the movie that she had chosen. Going over to the DVD player she put it in and then took a seat on the couch.

Renee made room for him on the couch and then looked over to Madeline. She didn't want to flirt with Brad and then make things all awkward with Madeline; What in the heck would that achieve? As the opening titles began to flash across the screen, she absentmindedly reached for a can of soda and a handful of popcorn. This would be her solace for now.

Eventually Madeline fell asleep mostly because it was getting late and because she was tired not only from working on the project but from doing errands outside the house. This left Renee and Brad alone for the most part, but the fact remained that she was still there beside them on the couch. They couldn't really do anything with her around. There was always the threat of her waking up.
