She looked at him and simply nodded. She couldn't trust her voice right now.

Jack sucked in his breath and sighed. He knew Lilli should be the center of attention, not him. He shouldn't be freaking out. Sitting beside her, he wrapped her in his arms and kissed her head. "I'm sorry.."

She slowly moved into his lap, not saying anything. She was still terrified.

Jack hugged her tightly, nuzzling her neck. "Shh...please don't be so scared...I'll protect you." he said, letting a tear fall. This wasn't how things were supposed to be!

"I was so scared.." she said softly, clinging to him.

"I know....I'm sorry I couldn't stop him." Jack said, kissing her face and lips softly.

"I didn't want him to hurt you... I couldn't think of anything else to do than go with him." she said, shaking still.

"Don't do that again..." Jack said, kissing her. He loved her so much, still after so few years. How could he even let Dillon take her? He wouldn't. Never.

"but he was going to hurt you..." she said, looking up at him.

"Yeah but, I can handle my own. Trust me." Jack said, nodding and smiling.

She nodded. "I didn't know what else to do."

"Don't be too hard on yourself..please." Jack pleaded, nuzzling her neck. "Why don't we just watch a movie on TV, hm?" he asked, sighing.

She nodded, still clinging to him. "Guess that's the only thing we can do."

Jack nodded, grabbing the remote and handing it to her. "Whatever you want to watch, ok?" he said softly, holding her tenderly and looking at the screen.

She nodded and took a steadying breath and flipped through the channels, landing some some random thing that looked good.

Jack rested his head on Lilli's, rubbing her shoulder and watching whatever caught her eye.

Lilli couldn't watch it, she simply turned her head into his neck and listened to his breathing.

Jack sighed, smiling a little bit. "Should we go to bed?" he asked softly, caressing her head.

She shruggged. "I just want you to hold me..." she said softly, her voice weak.

Jack nodded, holding onto Lilli and sighing. "I love you..."

"I love you too." she said softly.

"Just close your eyes, I'll be here still." Jack cooed, kissing her forehead and rocking her in his arms.

"I'm sorry for being so clingy." she said. "I'm just... I'm so scared."

"It's ok, you know that. We're best friends...I know you." Jack said softly, his face in her hair and smelling. It had been so long since he held her like this. "You have me to protect you..."

She nodded, still clingingto him. She'd never been so scared in her life.
