She smiled and went to sit at the bar. "You know, you'd look sexy with your jacket off and with your button undone." she said, taking a drink.

"Well that's for later if we even get that far." Alex muttered, chuckling and sitting next to her, grabbing his beer. Taking a nice long gulp, he licked his lips. "So, what compelled you to come to this particular base?" he asked, grinning.

"I don't know... Really. My manager sets these things up for me." she shrugged, sipping her drink.

"Well you should take more control of that stuff. Don't want to get jipped do you?" Alex added, finishing his beer and sighing as he stretched. "I would've figured you'd go back to Australia. But, hey, I'm glad we met up again." he said after finishing his stretch. "Anything you wanna talk about?"

"how well can you chase a whiskey?" She asked, smiling at him. She really just wanted a night of partying with him. Maybe a one night stand. She was leaving in the morning to never really see him again.

Alex chuckled, nodding. "Pretty well. I had to with what I had to deal with in training." he said, getting the bartender's attention and ordering whiskey shots. He almost expected the one night stand, hell, it was obvious that's all they were interested in so far.

She smiled. "Have you ever seen a girl chase a shot? I mean, like really chase it and not just sip at it?"

"Well the chicks in our platoon can really take a shot. Show me your way." Alex winked, smirking as he leaned back and crossed his arms over his chest.

She smirked, taking a shot and kicking it back. She swallowed all of it on one swallow then looked at him, raising her eyebrow. She didn't make a face as it bruned her throat.

Alex clapped, whistling her achievement. "Well then, you proved me wrong." he laughed, taking a shot himself without even blinking a single tear. He was used to the strength of the drink. He had gotten drunk only once. "So, wanna get out of here?" he asked, winking.

She smiled, nodding. "Hell yes!" she said, getting off of the stool.

Alex followed after Sami once out of the bar, getting into the rental car. "So, where to? Only place is base." he muttered, tapping on the steering wheel.

She smiled. "My hotel is the Hilton." she said simply.

"So what's that supposed to mean? You want a one night stand?" Alex asked, looking over Sami again and back, staring into her eyes. He supposed he wanted that too, but, he also at least wanted to establish some sort of relationship, like a friendship but with no strings attached. That wouldn't be so bad, right?

"We're never going to see each other again? Why not have a bit of fun?" she asked, leaning over and nibbling his ear.

"What makes you think we won't see each other again?" Alex asked, hopeful that they would. He certainly would like to keep in contact with her.

"I'm going on the road. LA tomorrow... Unless you wanna come." She said, hopeful.

"I can't. I'm under strict orders." Alex sighed, shaking his head. "Well, we could always keep in contact by e-mail. Ya know?" he asked as he started to drive to her hotel.

she sighed and nodded. "Alright. I'll call you." she offered.

Within the next twenty minutes (considering it was a deserted road during that night) it was awkwardly quiet. Parking in front of the hotel, Alex looked down. "Do you want me to come up?" he asked, coughing a little.

She nodded. "At least stay with me tonight." she said. "Please. We don't have to do anything if you don't want but... We can at least catch up."

Alex smiled, nodding. "Ok, let's go up then." he replied, parking in the parking lot and going inside with Sami. He sighed, looking around as they were in the elevator. It felt a bit, odd. It's like they really were going to do something.

Sami had her arms crossed her arms over her chest, feeling awkward.

"This kinda seems odd, doesn't it?" Alex said, chuckling. The elevator stopped at her floor, opening it's doors. Staring at Sami for a moment, he exited the space and waited on her.

Sami walked out after him and nodded. "there's no more sexual tension so it's awkward now." she stated.
