It's a Love Story

she came back with two vanilla bean mocha's with chocolate sause on the top and set one in front of him. "Wanna take a walk with me?" she asked now, her bright sunny smile on her face.

He looked down curiously at the concoction she set in front of him. "Uh, sure," he said, standing and taking the drink with him as he slung his bag over his shoulder.

She put her purse over her shoulder and took the drink also. "Drink that. It's really good. My favorite." she said, no longer nervous. She knew him, they had talked for a while and now that he was with her, she felt this amazing happy she'd never felt before.

He took a sip of it and blinked. "Wow, it is good. What the heck is it," he asked.

She smiled and slid her hand into his shyly as they walked. "It's a Vanilla Bean Mocha." she answered.

"Huh," was all he said as he took another drink.

She giggled a cute, sexy giggle and walked around the corner. "So, anywhere spacific you want to go?"

God, she was so cute, he thought. "You're leading me around, remember," he reminded her with a chuckle.

"I can't lead you around if you don't know where you wanna go." she said, making her lips into a cute little 'o' on 'go'.

"I wanna go where you wanna go," he compromised with a chuckle.

She looked up at him through narrowed eyes. "You're lucky you're cute." she said, leading him to Time Square a few blocks down.

He laughed and looked up at all the tall buildings. "Wow. I never new buildings got so tall," he said. "Much higher than the trees back home."

She smiled and nodded. "Come on." she said, tugging at his hand and into the Empire State Building. "You'll love the view from the top."

He blinked, looking at her in surprise. "The top of what," he asked suspiciously, though he followed her.

She only smiled as she went to the elevator. "The top."

"The top of the top," he repeated curiously, looking up as if he could see where they were going.

She nodded. "Not afraid of hights, are you?"

He shrugged. "I'm not quite sure. Never rid a plane b'fore," he told her.

She shrugged. "This isn't a plane though." She said, getting into the elevator, waiting for all the people to come off before getting on, her hand still in his. It felt as if it fit perfectly in side his.

He held onto her hand and waited patiently for he elevator to reach the top. "You've been up there b'fore," he asked her.

Lilli shook her head. "Yes, but not in a while." she replied.

"Oh. Must be mighty pretty up there," he smiled. "I bet you can see for miles."

"On a good day you can." she said, shrugging, looking down at his hand, running the fingers of her other hand over some faint scars on the back of his hand.

"What makes a good day," he asked curiously, looking at her.

"No smog or clouds... Can't really tell about the smog but there isn't any clouds." she said, looking up and smiling at him.
