" Me being alive" He said gently.

"But you are." She said.

" Nevermind" He said gently.

"I was hoping you'd be able to pay for my wedding. You know, it's sort of like a fatherly tradition."

" I can do that" He said gently.

"But... you have no money... I'd understand if you wanna stay dead." She said.

" I can come back and claim the money back" he said gently

"Only if you want to. Daddy J's paying for my medical bills. he thought you'd want to pay for my wedding."

" How nice of him" He said muttering.

"Don't think it's a competition between your guys." Ashton said softly so not to wake Adam. "I love you both, I want you both to know it too."

" Everything has been compition between us. He has the love of my life who has forgotten me. My two children are able to remember me just fine" Ben said bitterly.

"It took a lot out of mom to go with Jake after you died. And I don't have to remember you. You're a huge part of my life." she said, reaching over to take his hand.

" Yeah well she forgot me. " Ben said darkly.

"Mom still hurts. Don't you see the way she looks at you? It's a painful look." She said softly.

Ben shook his head " I'm gonna go for a walk for a bit..."


Ben walked out and went into the court yard. No one was around and he sat down on the bench.

Sami saw him leave and followed him. She sat next to him once he was done singing and sighed. "I remember when you sang to me. When you sang to Kale and Ashton."

" Yeah, but that was a long time ago." Ben got up.

Sami grabbed his hand. "Please don't go."

" I'll only cause problems between you and your jake" he said bitterly

"no you wont. Ben it's been forever since we've talked." she said.

"Please stay with me."

" Why?" Ben asked looking away.

"Because I want you to stay... Because I want at least a friendship with you..."
