Finally a home~ Private

Joshua blinked, but nodded. "Uh, ok, sure." he smiled, leaving enough space for her to sit on his lap.

She sat down on his lap, smiling. "I'm sorry, that was random, but I don't want you to let go of me yet."

"It's fine. I like you in my lap." Joshua grinned, winking as he continued eating his ice cream. "Just relax, lean on me if you'd like." he smiled, kissing her cheek.

She did just that, eating her ice cream. "Mmh... this is great."

((lol. Elizabeth should call while Marley's on Joshua's lap and it vibrates right on him..lol... she answers the phone laughing... lol. It doesn't add anything to the plot, but it's funny.))

Joshua jumped as he felt his cellphone vibrate. He reached under her, grabbing his cellphone and especially her rear as well. He had almost dropped his phone, but he was able to answer it. "Y-Yeah?" he asked, chuckling a little bit. "Your father, um....he put something into your account. A nice amount of savings that we put aside for you. Just as our own personal wedding gift. Enjoy." Elizabeth said, giggling and hanging up to leave him in shock. "Baby..." he mumbled to Marley, looking up. "Oh man, I gotta check my bank account once we get back." he grinned.

She smiled, chuckling. She had gotten off of him when he grabbed for his phone. She stole a bite of his ice cream, her's was already gone. "Why?" she asked.

"Eh, mom called and pretty much told me they left a good sum of money for us, as a gift." Joshua smiled. He was hoping especially that it would be enough to buy a house, or at least enough to even buy the loft that Marley was using, and for good. He scowled playfully when he realized that Marley had taken a bit of his ice cream. Finishing it off, he licked his lips. "Thinking what I'm thinking?"

She looked at him and smiled. She had no idea what he was thinking so she just said the first thing that came to her mind about the sum of money. "Shopping spree?" she asked. "Or maybe sex..." she shrugged at the last one.

Joshua twitched and blushed at her mention of sex. He had forgotten how forward she was. He coughed, shaking his head. "N-No.....Have you bought the loft or still paying rent?" he asked, wanting to make sure as he stood and threw away his cup and spoon.

She crossed her legs and looked at him. "I'm renting to buy. Why do you ask?" she asked, looking up at him. She didn't understand why he blushed. She was a bit forward, yes, but they were also newly weds... it was normal.

Joshua grinned. Still, he remained clueless to what he really intended. "Eh, just wondering. Wanna go back on the trail?" he asked as he exited the shop with Marley behind him. It started to get more cloudy, providing a cool enviroment for now.

She smiled, nodding. "Yeah, lets go." She said, taking his hand once out of the shop.

Taking her hand, he yawned. "Man, I can't get over how relaxing this place is." Joshua said, chuckling and looking around. "You enjoying it?" he asked, looking over as they continued up the trail.

She nodded. "I love it here." she said honestly.

"I was hoping you would. Then again, you would since we've gone through hell." Joshua muttered, nodding. "You wanna go back or, hey, even swim in the lake?" he grinned, thinking it would be fun.

"I hear the waters really cold..." she said softly, looking towards the lake. It was a beautiful blue with trees all around it. "But if you want to, then I will."

"Oh, if it's cold, then never mind. I don't want you freezing." Joshua said, shaking his head. Now he really wished for a jacuzzi, but his co-worker doesn't have one. Yawning, he just looked over the lake. "Maybe we could come back in the summer, maybe." he smiled at the idea, having his little baby in his arms and introducing her or him to the water and such.

She smiled brightly. "That'd be great." she ducked under his arm, letting it drape over her shoulder as she held his hand with both of hers. "Let's find a good place for lunch." she smiled.

Joshua nodded, smiling. "Well, first of all, we gotta get our lunch. I don't have it on me." he sighed, hating to have to walk back. "Eh, good exercise I guess." he chuckled.

"We could always go out. we're here for a week, we could always have a pick-nick later." she said, shrugging.

"Yeah, good point. But I don't see any restaurants anywhere. This isn't like a resort or anything. Unless you wanna call a cab again." Joshua said as they walked back towards the cabin.

She shrugged. "Maybe we should go back, check how much money we really have and then go from there."

"You mean, back home or to the cabin? I can check online ya know." Joshua said, blinking.

"I know, that's what I mean. Go back to the cabin and check." She said, looking up at him. "You think I want to go home?" she asked, surprised.

Joshua laughed nervously. "Sorry, I guess you could say I'm still feeling a bit giddy and nervous at the same time about becoming a father, officially. I got lots on my mind." he said, knocking on his head gently and shaking his head as well. He yawned as they got to the cabin, going inside and to the small office. He then started the computer, waiting for it to load. "Sheesh, this thing's slow. Needs a scan pronto." he mumbled, biting his lip. Still, it wasn't his computer, so he left it as it was.
