Finally a home~ Private

Joshua sighed, smiling more. "I won't complain. You feel just right in my arms." he muttered, kissing Marley's head and closing his eyes.

She closed her eyes also, kissing his chest again softly. She slowly started to fall asleep, comfortable in his arms, using him as a pillow. "I love you, Joshua."

"Love you more." Joshua said, mumbling as he already then fell asleep. His head rested over Marley's, a smile of bliss over his face.

About 3 weeks later, Marley was driving to an apartment they thought they wanted. She was suppose to drive there, take a look around then meet Joshua there to see what he thought. But, she never got there. She was tee boned in the middle of the intersection because of some a$$hole who thought he was important enough to run a red light. Her passenger side was hit and then she hit the median, flipping over into oncoming traffic, being hit several more times and flipped over again.

By the time the ambulance got there, she had lost a lot of blood and had already passed out. She had several cuts on her face and arms. Her right wrist was broken, thankfully, she was left handed so she could still draw. But, she had 4 broken ribs, 2 punctured her lung. She had internal bleeding which killed the 3 week old baby she didn't know she had. Her right knee was crushed, and her left ankle was also crushed, being pinned between the metal of the car door and the car floor.

She was rushed right into surgery and Joshua was called at work. Marley was badly hurt and the one time she woke up, she asked for him.

As soon as Joshua got the call at work, he rushed to the truck and started speeding down the road.Once he got to the hospital, he ran to the desk, asking for the number of his wife's room. Once told, being in the elevator felt like eternity, constant beeps from floor to floor until he reached hers. "God, Marley..." he said before leaving the elevator and going into the room quietly. "Baby?"

A doctor was in the room, checking her pulse. She had wires and tubes all over her body and oxygen going up her nose. The doctor gave Joshua a sympathetic look. He told him what was wrong with her and also told him that she was pregnant, but lost the baby.

Joshua went pale, dropping to his knees as he learned about their unknown baby. How, how did they not notice? He sat in a chair once the doctor had left, staring at his wife with pain. How much more did she have to suffer, just by being here with him? "Marley....Oh god, I'm so sorry.." he said, biting his lip and letting the tears fall as he held her hand.

((I like Drama... I got a little excited that I was actually able to write something that good with the meds I'm on. ))


Soon, Marley woke up, moaning softly. Her eyes were a little foggy, but she could feel Joshua's hand in hers. "mmmh.... Joshua?"s he mumbled.

((XD It's good))

Joshua smiled weakly. "Hey....Marley, did they tell you anything? We....We were pregnant, three weeks. But, the accident..it was killed by the accident." he said, closing his eyes tightly and kissing her hand.

((*Sigh* Can I ask you something?))


Marley looked at him, her eyes wide. "What?" she asked. What he said... she didn't want it to be true.

((Uh, sure o.0))

Joshua lost the smile, nodding. "You were pregnant, three weeks. You lost the baby..." he mumbled, wanting to hug her. But, he couldn't. She was in cast and bandages, the worst he'd ever seen anyone be in.

((Well, my mom... she's had this pain in her leg for a while, it's right near her groin and my dad says that she almost fell off a stool and might have pulled a groin muscle. But, she'd limping really bad and doesn't want to go to the doctor. She says that the doctor is just going to tell her that she's fat and the only way to get rid of the pain is to loose weight. So, now, she isn't eating. She's only drinking juice. We all think she needs to go to the doctor. I don't know what to do... What do you think I should do???))


Marley looked at Joshua, putting her uninjured hand on her belly. "I lost another one?" A small tear ran down her cheek. "I guess I'm not meant to be a mom..." She took a shakey breath. "What else happened to me?"

((Well, you should tell her that she has to go to the doctor anyway, she can't predict what the doctor will say. She isn't one. She's pretty much endangering her own life by being stubborn. It could be more than what she thinks or less, but still, it's better to be safe than sorry.))

Joshua sighed, really not wanting to say. "Don't say that, we're just having bad luck is all...." he said, hoping she wouldn't give up on making another baby. He then stared at Marley. To tell her what happened? He sighed, telling her in gruesome detail, it was cruel to make it any less of what it was.

((That's what we've been telling her... She says that her leg would get better but then she'd pivot wrong and tweak it again... I just don't know what to do. I guess I just needed to vent on somebody...))


Marley sighed, looking at the ceiling. "What about the guy who did this to me? Is he alive?" She asked. Half of her wanted him to be dead, but, the other half, the good half, wanted him to be alive, at leasst to face the punishment of doing this to her and her family.

((Well if one day she just can't handle walking anymore, there's your chance to force her to go to the doctor. But then again, I have no official say on this. My mom's an RN, so, if you'd like, I could ask her a few questions you might have.))

"He's in critical condition. Up in the ER, or something like that. Why?" Joshua asked, though knowing why she did. The guy deserved to die. Speeding on a normal street? Who would do such a stupid thing!? "Just relax, concentrate on just..relaxing, ok?" he said, kissing her forehead softly.

((Well, could you ask her if her weight has anything to do with it? I mean, I'm sure it does, but she's going off the deep end. From what I've heard, she was putting some stuff up on a high shelf and slipped off the chair, possibley pulling a groin muscle. She's really over weight, my whole family is. It's a bit hereditary...))


Marley nodded, squeezing his hand best she could with her cast. "You'll stay with me, right?" she asked. "The last thing I thought of while I sailed through the air was you... You were the only think on my mind."

"I would stay with you even if you were paralyzed, Marley. All I care about is you, my gorgeous little woman." Joshua said, smiling weakly and having a tear fall down his cheek. This was so painful to see. His own wife, his soul mate, suffering. "Just close your eyes, think of the great memories we've had, like the night of our anniversary." he grinned, chuckling.

She smiled nodding slowly. "Does you mom and my grandma know?" she asked, looking at him. She didn't want to sleep. She only wanted to talk to him, to hear his voice.

"Not yet. I was too worried to think about anything else or anyone. I'll call them later." Joshua said, looking over Marley. It was a horrific accident. "Right now, all that matters is talking to you and..praying to god that you'll be fine." he said, closing his eyes.

"I will be." she said, gently putting his hand to her lips. "I haven't died yet from everything that's happened." She said, trying to stay optimistic. "Josh. The pain's starting to come back... Really bad."

"Want me to call the nurse?" Joshua said as he grabbed for the small remote for the tv and to call for assistance.

She nodded slowly, trying not to scream. It was really starting to hurt.

Joshua had pressed the button, a nurse coming in within a few minutes due to Marley's condition. They had refilled the IV drop with a new bag, the coolness of the drug instantly going through her veins once more to relax her body. Leaving, he sighed and thanked her. "Feeling better?" he asked in a soft voice.

Marley nodded. "Yes, much better." she said then sighed. "Did I really loose another baby?"

"Yeah, you did...." Joshua muttered as he sat by her once more and looked down. "But, that doesn't mean we won't try again once we have an apartment and a financial stability.
