Werewolves and Humans: Together in Spirit

Sam relaxed in her bath, washing her hair and body once the water got cooled down to where it wasn't as relaxing. After she was done, she got out and brushed her teeth, wrapped in a big fluffy towel, and went to get her bed clothes on.

Now dressed Fenrir went home, he was tired and wanted some rest. His feet touched ground on his property and he made his way into his own makeshift home. It wasn't much but it felt more like a den, and that was very comferting.

Sam dressed in her favorite pajamas: blue baggy pants and a matching tank top, and crawled into bed, turning off the light before she closed her eyes, thinking about the pup who's leg she'd fixed, and the big black wolf who'd closed her door behind him as he'd left.

Fenrir mumbled under his breath about the work he had done that day as he layed on his cot. He loved how soft it was compared to the ground he used to sleep on. Slowly he fadded off into a deep dreamless sleep.

By the time Sam woke up the next morning, she didn't remember her dreams. She got up and got dressed, running a brush through her hair and pulling it back into a half-ponytail. She brushed her teeth and pulled her shoes on, grabbing her book bag and heading out to her jeep. Today, there was a bear cub that needed a checkup. The whole ranger team was going to help.

Fenrir didn't wake up till almost noon but when he sat up his hair stuck out in all directions. He sighed and pushed his hair down a little not really caring how he looked. He stood up and streched his man body before walking out into the painfully bright sun.

Sam arrived at the spot where all the rangers were gathered. She looked up into the trees, getting out of her jeep, and spotted the bear cub, high in the branches. "How are we gong to get her down," she asked them.

"We'll have to tranquilize her."

"She'll end up falling; she'll die," Sam said, appalled.

Fenrir had remained calm, happy and content in his life as a wolf. Now feeling awake he decided to walk his land and make sure there were no tresspassers. They tended to leave trash on his land that the younger wolves would sniff and could get hurt on.

"Someone's gotta climb up and get her. The problem is, she's just too big. Not one person can get her down."

"Well, it's not that big of a tree, but not too small. Two people could go," Sam said, thinking aloud.

Fenrir listened and laughed off the birds report to him but then he thought he heard something. One of the animals was scared and trying to protect itself and knew it couldn't. Fenrir pulled a small knife out of his boot, and started to run towards the commotion.

Sam looked up worriedly, sympathetically, and apologetically at the bear she figured was scared out of her wits. All twenty of the rangers had surrounded the trees where the bear was trying to escape. Sam tried to think of a way to get the bear safely down so they could tranquilize her and take the bandages and tracking device off.

Fenrir ran through the woods and made it near the spot in time to stop and stay out of site. Rangers, damn it. They don't speak bear and Fenrir can't in this cursed form. Instead of chaning, he put his knife away and started to climb up the ledge walking right past a few rangers to do so.

Sam, her attention on the bear, didn't see as the man from yesterday walked past. It only came to her attention when the person next to her yelled: "What the hell do you think you're doing!? Who is this guy?"

Fenrir sighed and moved upwards slowly, he knew how fragile and clumsy his human body was. However it was stronger then alot of other humans so climbing wasn't a hard task. He didn't rush, not wanting to scare the bear till he was at it's level.
"Shhhhh, Koia, shhhhhh." Fenrir said saying the bears name as best he could in the language of animals.

Sam moved slowly towards the tree, and noticed he was trying to calm the bear down. She didn't yell up, not wanting to scare the poor girl. She hushed the other rangers; "You're scaring her, shut up," she snapped in a whisper, and looked back up at the man she'd seen the previous evening and the bera.

"Shhhh, easy now Koia." Fenrir said cursing the damn rangers in his mind for scaring her so badly. She could badly injure herself unless he finds a way to help her without transforming.
"What are you guys trying to do anyways?" Fenrir asked softly in the same compassinate voice so the bear wouldn't take what he said as a threatening motion.

"We found her a few weeks ago with a hurt leg. We had to put a tracker on her so, when we released her, we could find her when it was time to take the bandages and tracker off," she told him quietly.

Fenrir looked over the bear and found the injury as well as the tracker. "I see, well then, lets see what i can do." Fenrir moved to the ledge and slowly walked towards the bear then he looked at the rangers.
"Any of you have a gun?" He asked.

"Most of them do, but right now all they have out are tranquilizer guns," she told him.

Fenrir cursed under his breath, that idea went downthe drain.
"Ok lets see if i can do this guys." Fenrir said moving slowly to the panicing bear wanting badly to try and keep him calm.

"Put the guns up; we're not using them," Sam hissed under her breath at the other rangers. They sighed and did as she said, wondering why this guy with worn-out clothes was now calling the shots.

He smiled at the bear and made sure his back was towards the group of people behind him. He bit his lip and checked to make sure his face was unseen by any human, then shifted his eyes to a wolves and looked at the bear letting him know who he was.

Sam made sure all the guns were put away securely and looked back up at the newcomer.

Fenrir noticed the bear start to relax a bit, he saw the bandages and the tracker. He had to get it off for the rangers but not scare the bear, taht could be hard.

Sam slowly walked back up to the newcomer. "Do you think you can get her down," she asked quietly.
