Werewolves and Humans: Together in Spirit

A few minutes passed before the pack arrived outside her home. Akota sat on a large rock and let out a howl that he hoped the woman would hear. Fenrir in his wolf form stayed in the woods watching and making sure to stay low. He was very dark yet his eyes were gold. So he tended to scare people. Akota though was almost perfectly white but he had black markings looking like tribal.

Sam jumped and peeked her head up to see out the window. "Oh, wow, he was right," she murmured and got out, wrapping a towel around herself and hurrying to get dressed.

Akota looked over at Fenrir and sighed,
The normal wolf act we preform when humans are near? Akota asked half annoyed.
Fenrir shrugged in the dark, Do what you think is best, it's your clan. I'm just here to watch. Fenrir said paying close attention.

Sam got dressed quickly and grabbed her sketchpad and pencil, looking out the window. Good, they were still there. She stayed inside so she wouldn't scare them off, and opened her sketchbook up, pulling her hair up into a ponytail so she could see more easily. Looking out the window, she saw the white alpha first and started sketching him.

Dear god she's drawing me, a picture is so much faster. Human's.... Krato come here my pup. Akota said and a pup slowly made his way up to his father. The pup had one let up and wasn't putting weight on it. It was obvious from where Fenrir was that the leg was broken.

Sam noticed a little pup walking towards the white wolf, not putting weight on one of its legs. "Aww, poor pup," she said and got up, getting some medical supplies out of her bag and went outside slowly. "Will you let me fix your pup's leg," she asked, sitting down slowly to show she wasn't a threat.

Despite Fenrir saying it was safe, Akota stood tall and sniffed the air slowly walking towards her with the pup behind him. As Akota got near her it showed he was very large, even for a wolf. The pup though was a runt and had steppped into a trap made by illegal hunting groups.

"I won't hurt your pup, I promise," she said. "My medical supplies are inside, though. It's too dark out here to fix his leg. You're welcome to come inside, too. So's your pack," she said, not having any shame at all in talking to a wolf who she didn't know could understand her or not.

Of course to the wolves she was just making noises.
Fenrir care to translate? Akota said.
She says that the things she needs for the pup are inside and that has the light she needs. So you, I and the pup should go in. Fenrir sudjested since he was large and was sure if something did go wrong he could be there.

Sam got up slowly, trying not to startle them, and walked inside, leaving her door open, and sat down by her medical supplies on the floor.

Akota told the pup the orders and started to the door. When the pup and him looked at the doorway they turned to Fenrir.
I want you to go first Fenrir. Akota said stopping and waiting. Fenrir sighed and moved from the woods and walked slowly in her door keeping his head low to show himself being relaxed and not aggressive.

Sam smiled, careful not to meet there eyes; she didn't want to seem as if she was challenging them. She was very surprised they'd come inside. "You're welcome to explore the house if you want," she told the large wolf in a quiet voice so she didn't startle him.

Fenrir turned to her and looked up through the top of his eyes while tilting his head a little. It was a look to say, yeaaaa ok woman. Fenrir found most wolves game humans these looks. Akota and his child made their way in next and made their way to Sam.

Same chuckled and smiled at the pup. "Don't worry; you'll be fixed up and running again in no time," she told it, reaching slowly for its hurt paw. "I won't hurt it - I promise," she said.

Fenrir softly gave them all instructions and told them what she was saying. The pup was very warry to trust the same species of thing that caused his injury. Fenrir sat still and watched just as Akota did. Both were ready to act at any moment. Akota to protect his pup, Fenrir to protect all wolves by not letting Akota be too aggressive.

Sam examined his paw, being very careful, and made a little splint for him, then held a gentle pain killer up in her hand. "This will make the pain go away, it might also make you a little sleepy," she told him. "You don't have to take it if you don't want to," she spoke softly and gently so she didn't scare him.

The pup smelled the pill and pulled his head back.
Akota, it smells like dust and dirt! The pup complained.
Fenrir, is it safe? Akota asked looking at Fenrir who stood up to see the bottle better.
It should be. Fenrir said.

Sam put it on the ground so he could eat it if he wanted, then slowly started to put the medical supplies away, still trying not to startle the wolves.

Reluctantly the pup ate the pill then hurridly limped out and his father was soon behind. Fenrir though stayed in the doorway sitting down watching and waiting.

Sam noticed the black-furred wolf staying in the doorway, she'd also noticed him looking at the pain pills. "Are you hurting, too," she asked him.

Fenrir smirked a wolf like grin and stood up backing out through the doorway. Before completly leaving Fenrir could't resist the urge to confuse or impress sam by jumping up onto his hind legs and useing his paw to close the door.

Sam's eyes widened. "Did he just... close the door," she thought and went to the window, looking outside. "Wow," she said, a smile on her face. She couldn't wait to watch that wolf, if he let her.

Fenrir smiled again at the window. Once Akota lead his pack into the woods, Fenrir dashed off in a seperate direction. Showing himself to be not a member of the pack. He almost laughed himself at the fact that she had no idea, but he couldn't laugh while running and as a wolf, took his breath away.

"Bye," she called after them with a smile, noticing the big black wolf hadn't followed the white alpha's pack.

Huh, that's something you don't see every day... she thought, curious as to why the alpha had allowed a stray wolf so close to his pack. Odd...

She closed her sketchbook and went back to the bathroom, pleased to find her bath water hadn't cooled down too much. She undressed and sank back into the tub, smiling to herself.

After what felt like an hour of running Fenrir made it back to where he had put his clothes. Thankfully the other wolves had guarded it and the meat for him. He said a brief thanks before getting into his weaker form and slidding his clothes back on.
