Here We Go Again (Two Others, mkay? :D )

"Not a problem" she murmured, and leaned in to kiss him. It was one of those things you just think about doing when you know you've done it before and you don't know if it'll happen again. She was officially working on her impulses.

He kissed her back softly and sweetly.

She rested her fingers lightly on his shoulders and pulled away after a moment, almost not wanting to. She then hugged him, as she had wanted to for awhile. It kind of hurt though.

He hugged her back and smiled at her.

"So" she said when she pulled away and smiled. Things were turning out pretty good, as far as she was concerned.

He smiled, keeping a hold of her hand gently. "So... what," he asked with a chuckle.

"You know, I'm not sure. But there is somethig I should probably get around to doing" she said with a sigh. "Do you have a phonebook I can use real quick?"

"Yeah, sure," he got up and went to get the most updated phonebook they had and brought it back to her. "Here you go."

"Thanks" she said, and looked through the phone book till she found a flower shop that did delivery. She dialed the number into her phone, closed the phone book, and ordered some tulips to be sent to Britt's house. She sent her a different kind of flower every year.

Deryk listened curiously and blinked. That's right, it was Britt's birthday.

She closed her phone when she was finished and looked over at him. "Thanks. I don't know where this goes, but if you let me know I'll put it back up.."

He smiled and took it from her. "I got it. No problem," he smiled and kissed her cheek before he left to put it up.

She sent him a smile and waited for him to come back. She let her eyes wander over the room, taking it in quietly. It was pretty nice, really. She;d have to make sure to come over more often.

Deryk came back quickly and sat back down on the couch. "So, you fight with her, and then send her flowers. Pretty interesting logic," he chuckled.

"I know, you must think I'm crazy or something. I just can't stay angry ather, and it's her birthday. I always send her flowers on her birthday. Couldn't help it" she said with a little shrug. She wished now that she had't fought with her - almost.

"What did you guys fight about," he asked quietly, holding out his hand and hoping that she'd take it and sit next to him.

Alora went over and sat next to him, taking his hand in hers. This was a hard thing to tell him, to admit even then she still liked Justin and was so blindsighted. "Well, I'm not entirely sure how it went now. It's kind of a blur. She said something about dating Justin, and I went a little crazy on her, and then she went really crazy on me, and then you two came over and it kind of upscaled, and then it was just.. over. Something she said about you at the end almost set me off again, and that was when I realized she was right and I stopped fighting..." She kind of shrugged and brushed away imaginary drit from her pants leg.

Deryk nodded slowly, wondering if she really liked him or if she was only giving him a chance. He couldn't help but think it. He didn't know how to respond other than that.

"You see, I never knew you liked me, believe it or not, until then. And she had pointed it out. And that was when I let myself let go of Justin. And then I realized how much I really liked you, though I had never let myself think of it before" she said, trying to explain the best she could. "And I owe her that much at least. You know, opening my eyes...." She looked down at the ground as she talked, not quite able to meet his eye. She didn't want him to think she was using him or that she didn't actually like him. Because she did like him, and alot now that she thought about it.

Deryk looked at her. "You really never knew? All these years of me calling you when some random force told me you were upset, and me coming over to help you with homework and yardwork, and me taking you on a road trip. You never knew?"

Brittany smiled, squeezing his hand gently. School... Blech. She didn't want to go at all tomorrow. Maybe they could skip tomorrow too? Then they could have all friday and the weekend together.

Justin parked and got out, opening her door for her and taking her hand. He smiled. "Sooooo, we don't get to sing happy birthday to you?" he teased.

Brittany blushed a dark red, shaking her head. "Not at all. You will neeeeever get that chance."

He laughed and kissed her. "Alright, if you say so," he chuckled and walked her into the restaurant.

Brittany smiled, repeating her name to the matre de as she scanned the restaurant, looking for her parents.
